Barrington of Bon Accord
Barrington of Bon Accord
by Catherine Starmer
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a beautifully written and illustrated book, 19 Jan. 2016
This is a beautifully written and illustrated book. I read it to my nephews, aged five and seven, and they were enraptured with the trials and tribulations of this lovely creature. Both demanded it be re-read immediately
The story flowed beautifully and, as a teacher, I loved the varied and interesting vocabulary.
Barrington's fears and concerns would be a good starting point for teachers during PSHE, or parents/carers wishing to foster empathy in their children, as change, acceptance and celebrating differences are strong themes throughout.
It is fabulous to find a book that appeals both to the listeners and the readers.

Packed - The Food Entrepreneur's Guide: How to Get Noticed and How to be Loved
by Tessa Stuart
Edition: Paperback
Price: £8.87

5.0 out of 5 stars Packed (sorry!) full of valuable advice for all food producers, 4 Sept. 2013

What a great little book this is. I say little, as it is slim and concise. bit don't be fooled into thinking it is lightweight in content - far from it!

If you are thinking of entering the crowded world of food production, and want to give your product the best possible chance of making it onto the supermarket shelf (or your local deli, farmers market or online store etc) then you will love the friendly advice offered here.

Tessa Stuart knows her stuff. Having worked in the industry - with the hugely successful Innocent Drinks amongst others, Tessa is clearly someone who can advise on all aspects of creating a marketable product, and what to avoid along the way!

Much of the advice in this book can be transferred to other sales based industries. Crafters, for instance will glean valuable advice on marketing here

Absolute delightful read - five stars all round.

I love this book so much! As someone who is looking to start a business and escape the rat-race, this book gives me so much hope.

Primarily, because it proves that you don't have to be a university graduate or 24 years old to really go for it and make a lot of money!

I keep it by the side of my bed for days when getting up is a problem, it always gives me a lift!
