Price: £2.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous!, 12 April 2013
I was so inspired by, and in respect of this man's hard work as a nurse, and all nurses. Wow they work hard!

I thought this was a great read, I highly recommend it.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Penguin Popular Classics)
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Penguin Popular Classics)
by Arthur Conan Doyle

4.0 out of 5 stars Short but deep!, 20 Jun. 2011
A good, fun read. The stories may be short but they are still gripping and exciting enough to make you want to keep going! My favourite: 'The Speckled Band'

2.0 out of 5 stars How long before the excitement begins?, 20 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Never Let Me Go (Hardcover)
On realising that this film had been turned in to a film, I was looking forward an engaging and exiting read!

Oh how disappointed I was.

Four and a half chapters in.... I tried to make myself to go on, but just could not finish it! The writing style is ro-bo-tic and frustrating, and the characters flat, lifeless and two-dimensional.

Very disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, 15 Feb. 2011
A good book for learning the basics of body language. It definitely makes you more aware of the way you convey yourself to others in social situations.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rumi, 7 Feb. 2010
This review is from: The Love Poems of Rumi (Hardcover)
Though I did buy it for myself (primarily because i thought it was a bigger book) I do think it'd be a nice gift for one to give to a loved one or friend.

2.0 out of 5 stars There are better ones, 7 Feb. 2010
I believe John Esposito's 'Islam: the Straight Path' is a better read. It recounts events as just as they are- ie, without personal bias.

2.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm...., 5 April 2009
The chronology is good.......but then, the author decides to add in some random and controversial quotes from (sometimes) irrelevant sources. He doesn't provide any explanation for why he has included them, ie, there is no analysis. It seems to be written in a biased and anti-Islamic tone. I'm going to go find a more balanced book.
