HOW TO HAVE A MATCH MADE IN
HOW TO HAVE A MATCH MADE IN

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly empowering book, 20 Jan. 2013
An eye-opener of a book! The Kanes make the fundamental point that the place any relationship starts - is your relationship with yourself. Being in the moment and enjoying every part of your day - for example experiencing the richness of your interaction with the person at the supermarket check-out, is the way to discover the infinite potential of life, to be at peace with and accept yourself. When this happens, all your relationships flow more easily. The authors also reveal the importance of listening to the other person - not to see if you agree or disagree, but to hear what they say from their point of view; this quality of listening comes from using your eyes and looking at the other person as they speak, so you pick up on the nuances of what they say. It's all about connection.
The magic of this book lies not only in the Kanes' wisdom, but also in the video links in which you can watch their clients' faces transform as they listen to and look at the authors, and take on board the new possibilities open to them in their various relationships.
In a complex world where the tendency is to look for complicated approaches and solutions, this powerful book reveals simple, down-to-earth approaches to any relationship challenge. It gives us the tools to enrich all the relationships in our lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Live your life with ease, 31 May 2012
A wonderful book of short stories that you can dip into for inspiration on living your life with ease. I have two personal favourites. First, the story of how Ariel cleared her desk of clutter and found that as she did so, time lost its hold over her. Secondly, the story of how Ariel and Shya treasured their time with Shya's dying mother, really listening to her, and how it was a special time of profound compassion and forgiveness. Each and every one of these stories has a practical bearing on how we can improve the quality of our lives.

This book, if you read it with attention, can save you years of wasted time and unnecessary pain. It will help you dissolve behaviour and habits that previously held you back. The Kanes' ideas are simple and profound at the same time, showing you how to bring energy and fulfilment into your life. I highly recommend it.
