5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!, 14 Oct. 2004
This review is from: Lucas (Paperback)
From looking only at the cover and the name this book would not catch your eye. I war a friend in a bookstore when picked this up as i had trid kissing the rain. I had a scan of the first few pages and decided to buy it.
Once i got into it i couldn't put it down, i loved the way the autor described the book as crying herself a story, i also live the way its written. Its seems so realistic, that you feel the joy depreesion along with the characters, it paints such a gud picture in your head that you fell as if you are there too. You live the story alongside Lucas and kate.
Cates whole life cahnges that summer day when she picks her brother up from the station and sees Lucas walking along the road, after that she bumps into him a number of times and creates a strange but happy relationship with him.Lucas is hated and judged bmany and only really believed by Cate herself.
The end of this book had me in tears, which is not usual. I suggest you read it, it may just be tghe best book you've read

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 20 Mar. 2004
In this book you will follow the famous Laenen Kite has he journeys through the world of dreams and nightmare.Laenen Webb lives in a alternate world that we only visit in our dreams. You will journey through many kingdoms of dreams and watch the void.
If there was one thing bad to say about this book it's that you are so eager to know what happens next that you have to read the book twice to understand how everything happens.
I'm not a keen reader but this is the second book i've read by Catherine Webb, it's really hard to conprehend how someone could invent a story like this at the age of fourteen. If u like this book then you have to read waywalkers, also by Catherine Webb.Sorry if this hasn't been any help to you but there isn't anything i can say without giving a bit of the story away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly strange, 3 Feb. 2004
This books centres on the long life of a quiet university translater who has a slightly diffrent past and turns out to be someone unexpected and has powers that even he didn't realise the strength of.It's a great book that you do'nt want to put down. You want to get to the end but also want the book to go on forever. My whole family has read it and everyone agrees its great. I can't wait for her next book to come out and find out want happens next to Sam. I reccomend this book for people of all ages who are interested in the unexpected.
