5.0 out of 5 stars loathing of the fear, 6 July 2007
The book wad of pages adhesive and in conclusive. The book that has an insignia on the front cover.
Kingdom of fear is the book, that every young blood, or decrepit pensioners wished they could have the guts to say, in public, as this book is the finesse of all that is political and quintessential to the growth of man and beast, as there's the sexual innuendo of an under age molestation the drug exertion to propositions that most would be intimidated by to see in print, and the pigs that were on the scent of Hunter but never really ensnared their prey to the crucifix. Hunter is informative through out the book with a razor tongue edged humorous syndicalism to Christianity and the government and who wouldn't be ah? It is a farce, but was contracted in the adroitness and benign to god.
It was gods, will that got Hunter out of some hair-raising issues; this book is not for the ignoramus.
You know that want a conclusion plot of the timeline of a human being and a fairytale nauseating
End. It is a contorted rancid passageway through choc block and never let's go and don't take your seat belt off till the end, or you'll end up like the sheep defunct and bleeding with no reliable source but to ask for some oxygen, when it's you that's need to instigate it in the first place.
If you only see Hunter S Thompson as the author of the drug debauchery of fear and loathing in lass Vegas. Then put your receptors over this wad of a book. My god if it was anything else, it would be as enormous as the fraudulent escapee would the Government has feed in the morning over coffee.

Intimidation yes. Fear no.

5.0 out of 5 stars blonde on blonde, 1 July 2007
This review is from: Good Blonde (Paperback)
In jack Kerouac's "career" where he reach his\commercial mainstream Holy Grail of public and critical applaud, with "on the road" and spent the rest of his life trying to dismantle the applause.

This book, good blonde and other.

Is a spontaneous. Book of collected prose, and publications

On his muses sports, observations etc.

Kerouac was always slandered for his, spontaneous flow.

That some say could be written more adequately but this is an fantastic book where you can delve yourself, whenever and find some great passage

To wonder for hours.

A recommended book for the lovers of the beat generation.

5.0 out of 5 stars the darkness for the light, 14 Oct. 2006
HIM the band that has exploded and found their sound

with "dark light"

a mesmerising twisting album with songs to rattle and massage the heart,

with ville vallo supplying some great love twisted lyrics.

with the rest of the band draping the gothic/metal that has come to be expected from "HIM"

i must admit i've never been a fan of "him" prior to this album.

i mean i like some singles but never bought any albums.

i love their version of neil diamonds classic "solitary man"

and these album has opened my eyes to the egnmatic sound that him protray and vitalise into the redundant mainstream of music.

if you're a first time buyer of him i suggest you buy this.

even though some would say i'm hypocritical because i don't know what their old stuff is like.

but on the back of this album. if their back catolgue is a good as this is was. then i will become a fanatic

5.0 out of 5 stars muse the alternative to "radiohead" nah, 7 Sept. 2006
This review is from: Showbiz (Audio CD)
muse explode onto the music scene..not with this album but the next masterpiece "origin of symmetry" with the cover of nina simmons classic "feeling good" and the blistering in your face opening track "new born"

but i'm not here to talk about that album that's for another day.

i'm here to talk about the explosive debut album from the british boys.

"muse" with their soon to flourish melancholy trademark sound.

they would catapult them to world domination

this album has all you'd expect from a debut album.

the riffs the howling voice of matt bellamy with a extra hint of sadness to add an that slant to the dynamics of the foundation of muse.

this album is an ride where you'll be thrown about tossed to an through and gently descended back down to earth and then tossed in the air again

49.47 minutes there's only about three where you have time to breathe.

this album has all the dynamics. that muse will elaborate on

in the next three classic masterpieces "origin of symmetry"

"absolution" and my favorite album of 2006 "black holes and revalations"

if you have only just discovered muse from "black holes and revalation" and want to see how they were. as a fresh faced trio ready to conquer the world with the blistering rock melancholy

then look no further "showbiz" is the forgotten great british debut.

they should get more recognistion, that what it does.

showbiz is whatever you want it to be. and muse certainly made their own mould and suceeded in etching a mark on british music.

5.0 out of 5 stars king of the hill, 13 Aug. 2006
This review is from: Rose Hill Drive (Audio CD)
how i discovered "rose hill drive" was the normal discovery

i saw a review in "classic rock" giving it 8/10 and the heading of "king of the hill"

i couldn't of agree more on first listen i thought it was a poor man's cream of whatever 70's rock band you want to put in that place but on the second listen i was immersed in the full throttle of "rose hill drive" from the blistering "showdown"

to the final track "cross the line"

this band makes you feel your back in the good times of rock

without being clinched. and having the feeling that you've been here before.

they bring a experimental essence to the 21th century.

of music that's in abit of a slump.

"cold enough" riffamatic

"cool cody" ditto one of my favorite songs of the past six years

"brain novocaine" it may rhyme but it's not clinche like most bands lyrics.

"it's simple" 2.20 of acoustic beauty. then it goes start into

"raise your hands" with the miltary sort of riff that's a pounding diversity from the last tracks elagance

reptilian blues" does what it says on the tin. LOL

i'm not gonna divulge anymore as you'll have to see for yourself one of the most exciting bands of 2006!!!

get it now. used or new 10.99 is worth the asking price if you want a hard rock band without the clinches.

5.0 out of 5 stars Primal Scream have let it bleed, 6 Jun. 2006
This review is from: Riot City Blues (Audio CD)
this has to be one of the most entertaining no nonsense albums released in 2006 with all the emo bands around now days it's nice to have an band, venturing back into the days gone..
I.E beggar's banquet, or more correctly as some have stated in reviews the stones 1969 classic "let it bleed" yes i can see the simualar musical styles that primal scream present, but it's still their own work, and it's a foot stomper, rock and roll album they've left behind the electronic sound of their 2002 album "evil heat" and given us an scorching slice of rock with an hint of country,

reccomended if you like you're rock scolding and in the vein of the great rolling stones
also features the single "country girl"

we're gonna boogie"

5.0 out of 5 stars what were they thinking?, 15 Nov. 2005
This review is from: Jesus Of Suburbia (Audio CD)
what was going through the mind of the glam punk billy joel when he decided to release a ten minute song as a final single from their award winning album "american idiot" what he was thinking was pure genius this song has some many different musical ability's with puk/heavy rock/acoustic...
and over the top of the music you have the snarling billy joel
tells us how america is ruined and how being an outcast isn't really that bad

4.0 out of 5 stars GNR who?, 7 Nov. 2005
izzy stradlin and the ju ju hounds izzy first solo album still with GNR i think.. and he makes a great effort not to copy the formula of gnr but makes his own disinctive sound remisince of early stones records yet with a new twist..sounding a bit like keith richards izzy voice is on top form and the backing band play excellently a truly great album which has gathered dust due too the bloated guns and roses albums that were released during the nineties you know what i'm talking about..
izzy stradlin a great songwriter and here he's at his best
