5.0 out of 5 stars Thrilling Intricate Plot, 22 Feb. 2013
Joseph Lee awakes to find himself battered and his wife brutally murdered. Instead of being left to mourn and grieve he has become the center of the police investigation. The fact that he would inherit a substantial amount of money from his wife put Joseph in the middle of the investigators cross hairs while looking for a suspect to Jennifer's murder. Even after he is cleared by the police, the small town gossips still whisper about him and judge him to have gotten away with murder. He becomes a recluse and falls deep into a pit of depression until a beautiful woman who strongly resembles his late wife shows up on his doorstep.

This starts like a simple story but ends up with several different plot twists to keep readers guessing and enthralled. I found it incredibly riveting and hard to put down. Definitely a great book, well worth the time, money, and effort that it takes to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Sequel and just as engrossing as Forever After..., 30 Jan. 2013
After reading "Forever After", I knew I would have to read the sequel. Affliction is every bit as intriguing as "Forever After" and Jester does a great job of keeping the story engrossing. I don't want to give away the plot, but for someone who usually knows who the killer is, I was wrong this time around! This book is well-written and just as enjoyable as both others books I have read by Jester ("Forever After" and "An Idiot in Love").

5.0 out of 5 stars The title says it all! Hilarious book!, 22 Jan. 2013
I was a bit taken aback at first because the first part of Kieran's (main character) "love" life took place in elementary school. I thought it was a bit racy for kids that age to be that interested in one another. However, remembering my own "love" life as a kid, it wasn't all that different. Keep an open mind and you will find yourself laughing throughout this book! Vomit and prosthetic legs are just two of many of the pitfalls of Kieran's romances. He may be an idiot, but Kieran's character is definitely lovable.

The book's title is an excellent summary of Kieran's romances from beginning to end. Other than strong language (This being said, only adults should be reading this anyhow), there is nothing negative to say about this book. It is hilarious and well worth the read.
