1.0 out of 5 stars Recipe book stand, 16 May 2016

Took a look good time to arrive. Very small and not suitable as a book stand for anything other than recipe books as pages cannot be turned easily whilst on the stand.

The Priest
The Priest
by Gerard O'Donovan
Edition: Paperback
Price: £6.99

5.0 out of 5 stars A high-quality first novel, coomparable with Michael Connolly at his best., 2 Feb. 2016
This review is from: The Priest (Paperback)
A superb first novel from Gerard O'Donovan. The plot is realistic, moves steadily throughout the book and reaches an exciting, nerve -jangling conclusion. The characterisation is excellent, with real, believable main characters and sub-characters and the descriptive writing vivid. I really enjoyed this crime thriller and look forward to reading the follow up.

Chris Smither is a superb country/blues songwriter who has been around for over 40 years. Brilliant live. This album is a review of his great songs covering his entire career.

Yet again a superb Shardlake investigation that describes Tudor London to perfection and captures the atmosphere of the religious fear surrounding the last days of Henry VIII

5.0 out of 5 stars Sad, yet beautiful, tale of redemption., 14 Dec. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First time I've read a W. Somerset Maugham. Won't be the last. The Painted Veil was a superb read, full of descriptive content enabling characters and scenery to come alive. A beautiful, if sometimes sad, tale of the awakening of a shallow woman.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor quality - my first amazon disappointment, 10 Dec. 2013

Picture quality is extremely poor - almost as if this DVD is a poor copy. Tried adjusting tv screen format but with very little improvement.

A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4)
A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4)
by George R. R. Martin
Edition: Mass Market Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality book, quality service, 10 July 2011
Yet again , a great service from Amazon. The book was in first class condition & I received it on time.

The "Feast of Crows" was a superb continuation of the series from George R Martin . However, fans will need to know that this book spends a great deal of time filling in the detailed background of other characters who have, up to this point, been mentioned but not participants. Most of the main characters in the tale are absent , but George Martin informs the reader of where exactly the loyalties of these peripheral characters lie in the tale. This should ensure the climax to this epic adventure will fully gel together.
I can't wait.
