A step in the right direction, 3 Jun. 2011
This book gave a very good insight into mindfulness, and a useful introduction into the benefits of meditation. It also explained in simple terms, the power of ones thoughts and perceptions, and how at times these thoughts and perceptions can undermine ones self esteem, and ones 'view' of the world. Its course is well structured and easy to follow, and of huge benefit if given time and regular practice. At the end of the day, it requires the readers own committment and dedication to gain the full benefits of the books content, but Mark Williams and Danny Penman both help, and guide you down a simple and practical path.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is suffering from stress or anxiety problems, or to anyone who is simply striving to find more happiness in their lives. It gives a valuable insight into 'seeing' things from a slightly different viewpoint, which in turn, with commitment, can lead to both positive and deep rooted results.
