5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for banjos, 13 July 2017

I love this stand because, unlike my old one, it doesn't catch the neck when you pick up the instrument. This makes it great for banjos (see photo of my Epiphone 5 string)

4.0 out of 5 stars Very well made, slight lack of extra space though, 8 July 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very well made, nicely padded inside (unlike the rubbishy Zildjian one I was replacing) and balanced well on your back. The straps are a good width, and you hardly notice you're carrying anything!

Only slight niggle is that you can fit some sticks and other small bits in the large pouch on the back, but it's only really for flat things. I'd have liked some extra space (which in fact my otherwise pathetic Ziljdian bag had) in the form of some place to put things like sandwiches, a cowbell (all serious drummers have cowbells but never use them) or a couple of bananas. Bananas are very good for you if you are a drummer - you'll see Stewart Copeland always has a bunch under his floor tom. So I might sew like a small bumbag or something like that on and see if that works.

PS Brexit's going to be a disaster, isn't it?

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it, and your boot-hicks will thank you, 20 Jun. 2017

Solid, not too heavy to cart about, and comfy. I've played several 2-hour sets on this and the old butt-hocks have been fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beware wayward clampage!, 20 Jun. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good stuff. But if you're using this on tour, get your roadie to drill a little hole in the shaft and then pass a chain or string through the clamp or you'll lose it like I did.

Quite high pitched, and has internal dampers so maybe not the sort of thing you might use every time, but it's well made.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent for the price, but not very loud, 20 Jun. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Well made overall and I think able to take a few good whacks of my club, I you catch my drift. I'm using it mainly attached to my hi-hat shaft, but it's not very loud at all. I'm using it in a power-pop new wave trio and it only really comes over in the quiet bits. Oh and you can play it by hand, but watch the blister formation!

4.0 out of 5 stars Remember to thread the cable through it *before* wiring it up!, 14 April 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Solid, good stuff. I just can't believe I Duraplugged* the damn thing though!

* The "Duraplug" is a UK power plug which, unlike all other UK power plugs, has an outer cowling through which the power cable passes. This means that if you are used to wiring standard power plugs where the cowling can be fitted at the end, you will usually end up wiring a Duraplug twice (or you simply cut the cowling once you realise your mistake). The term has since been generalised to other wiring situations in which you forget to pass the wire through something before spending the time and effort to do the wiring.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but could do with a better fitting hose lock, 14 April 2017
This is great value with the A-rated performance for dust filtration in particular. Nice and light too so you don't feel you're lugging it about the house. Only quibble is that the hose handle fits into the accessories by friction only, so it can come out while you're using the telescopic pipe, which then falls on the floor. It could do with a catch really. But you just need to remember to jam it in good and proper. I find this rather aggressively masculine movement sets me up for the task of cleaning, which - I have to confess - I hate.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, but would benefit from a wall fix, 12 April 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Solid construction, but I could do with an optional flange of some kind to screw it to a wall/skirting board maybe.

Rather annoying these don't have cable ties. Should have looked elsewhere. Ugh.
