Brilliant quality with fantastic detail even on 20x16 canvas, and much more reasonably priced than other offerings I looked. It also arrived very quickly once we'd got around the problem of sending a very large source file and email limits. I would definitely use them again.

Widor: Symphonies Nos 5 & 10 'Romane'
Widor: Symphonies Nos 5 & 10 'Romane'

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 25 Aug. 2012
I first rented this disc from a CD library some 25 years ago, and then bought it. My CD now needs replacing and I am buying a new one.

The organ at Toulouse is a perfect setting for music from this era, with edgy-sounding French reeds as well as a range of subtlety from other stops. While the 'set piece' of the Toccata from the 5th is thrilling, there are lots of other gems - my favourite is the first movement of the 5th (Allegro Vivace) which really comes to life with its variations, showing a huge range of colour before the final climax.

Anyone who is a fan of Widor or French organ music from this era will love to hear the magnificent instrument living and breathing these symphonies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent remastering, 2 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Verdi: Don Carlo (Audio CD)
This beatiful recording has been excellently remastered. Considered by many to be the finest recording of this opera (albeit in Italian rather than French) is a great opportunity to hear a fantastic line-up of singers at their best. It also includes a full booklet of notes and the libretto. A recording to savour.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well-written technical information., 14 Aug. 2000
This set of technical instructions will be of use to anyone who is frustrated with the level of information given by the likes of Haynes manuals.
It seeks to explain the operation of the pump is its different guises for various car manufacturers for turbo, non-turbo, mechanical and electronic controlled versions. At £6 or so for anyone who wants to know more, this is essential.
