5.0 out of 5 stars When such a book is hated by Thais and is banned you know it's worth ..., 17 Jan. 2015
Lays bare the truth behind the power struggle in Thailand for the past few years, well written and brave t do so. When such a book is hated by Thais and is banned you know it's worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended, but not at this price, 4 Aug. 2014
The most exciting band to come along in years, highly recommended, but not at this price. I got mine from Japan for half this

1.0 out of 5 stars it is just nonsense to claim you cannot find nice accommodation for little money and the street food scare ..., 25 July 2014
You could say much the same about retiring to Detroit or Glasgow! it is just nonsense to claim you cannot find nice accommodation for little money and the street food scare mongering is just nonsense. It is still far cheaper to live in Thailand than in the west and I have lived here for 8 years on $600 a month!

5.0 out of 5 stars An exceptional work, 24 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I doubt very much that those giving the book one star have actually read this book. It's a very well researched work, accurate and well argued. The dangers of Islamification and the methods used to spread this evil cult in the UK are laid bare, so naturally Islamists and appeasers will not like this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars global elite?, 16 Aug. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not a bad effort spoilt by constant reference to the 'global elite' This fairy tale was not supported with any real proof yet according to the author it's been around a long long time. Utter nonsense that spoils the book, claims they were controlling JFK through his farther but this stopped when he had an illness. Drivel.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best such book, 5 July 2013
I have read most accounts of foreigners in Thai prisons and this one is by far the best. Partly as it's written by a professional writer and partly because it does not go over the top with the 'horrors' and as such is more believable, the horrors are still there though. Good insights into the Thai legal system, a very good read.

4.0 out of 5 stars not long enough, 8 Jun. 2013

Read it at one sitting and it just flew by, I wished it had been far longer. One of the more interesting books about Jimi. Especially interesting was the insight into Monika. His death remains a mystery. Well worth the kindle edition cost.

2.0 out of 5 stars bad translations, 16 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I liked the illustrations but there are some bad mistakes in the translations. From the names it would seem this is a Thai production and that maybe why it is so childishly done. Not a lot of help but worth the money. Anything that helps Thais to drive is to be welcomed!

3.0 out of 5 stars what no luktung?, 28 Jan. 2004
This review is from: Music from Thailand (Audio CD)
Tries to cover many styles but omits luktung the most popular folk genre. Also, there is no lukrung song but happily there are some welcome ommissions as no string or songs for life material appears. Would have been better to have left out tracks of little merit such as war drums and funeral music and to have included lukrung and luktung. Not as good as the rough giude to thai music. Probably tries to cover too much ground.-peter
