Worried they won't work with your DVD Recorder? Don't be!, 2 Sept. 2012
I'm writing this review in response to those that have complained that these discs won't work with their DVD Recorders. I too, have encountered this problem (though not when I first started buying them, oddly enough - perhaps the lens needs to be cleaned?).
If you are having difficulty formatting these discs, try burning a small file onto them first using your computer/laptop. My DVD Recorder refuses to format the discs when they are completely blank, but once I have put something onto them with my computer - a small image or music file burned straight onto the disc - they work perfectly. Doing this for 25 discs is time-consuming, but once it is done you shouldn't have any more problems.
4 stars because the discs are good quality (and DVD-RW is the only way to go!), but it can take time to format all of the discs. For the price though, it is worth the effort.
UPDATE - If you cancel the burn shortly after starting (approx. 30 seconds), wait for the disc to be ejected, then format it using your DVD Recorder, it saves a lot of time. You might get a warning about the disc becoming unusable, but I haven't had any problems so far.
