Snow Patrol -Music In Review [DVD]
Snow Patrol -Music In Review [DVD]
Dvd ~ Snow Patrol

3.0 out of 5 stars good history but what's with the songs??, 16 Jan. 2010
Am a big snow Patrol fan so was a nice recap of their history - how they got together etc but this is obviously an unofficial dvd because the songs are sang by someone else - and he's not a patch on lightbody! Only has still clips of the band so no live action to see.

It's ok.. I wouldn't say don't buy it. But just be aware of what you're paying for.

What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?
What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?
by Alan Duff
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars A great sequel, 1 April 2008
Don't watch the DVDs, they don't do the story justice! A great follow up to once were warriors, where things are still as bleak and desperate but with kind of a happy ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book full of tears, 1 April 2008
This review is from: Once Were Warriors (Paperback)
Without a doubt my favourite book of all time. And once you've read t you'll probably wonder about my choice of the word favourite, because the story is thoroughly depressing! But Duff tells such a good story and you find yourself desperately wanting the Heke family to have a bit of good luck, especially Beth & the kids. You can even sympathise with Jake, to a point, because although we often complain about our own lives, I wuld imagine the people reading this book are very unlikely to have experienced such bleak situations. I read this book while actually on holiday in Aukland, and it opened my eyes to a whole new side of New Zealand.

A Place Called Here
A Place Called Here
by Cecelia Ahern
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, 1 April 2008
This review is from: A Place Called Here (Paperback)
I love the way Ahern's books mix in a touch of the magical and yet are so totally believable. Enjoyed this book so much I read it in one sitting, just couldn't put it down. Thought the bit about the lost memories/voices was so haunting and yet not out of place in this type of story. Read it and love it!

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 1 April 2008
This review is from: The Quickie (Hardcover)
I love James Patterson & own all his books, this one did not disappoint. I did get a little confused at one point and had to re-read a couple of pages but i think it was because I was so unsure of whether the husband was good, bad, stupid.. Though that must be a sign of good writing I think!

The Rules of Life: A personal code for living a better, happier, more successful kind of life (The Rules Series)
The Rules of Life: A personal code for living a better, happier, more successful kind of life (The Rules Series)
by Richard Templar
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Am technically breaking the rules by writing this.., 1 April 2008
.. but enjoyed the book so much, what the hell. A really nice book that probably all children should be given a copy of in school, help them grow up with a good moral code. As Templar says himself there aren't any extra-ordinary insights in the book but sometimes it needs to be written down to make you stop and think. I don't know what the people who gave it low ratings were expecting but if you want a nice, happy, feel good about the world book this is it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 1 April 2008
This review is from: For One More Day (Paperback)
Quite honestly one of the best books i have ever read (and i read a LOT!). Felt total sympathy for the main character and reading the book really made me stop and think. Rang my mum that very evening just to say hello! Read the book in one sitting as needed to know that everything worked out ok. Was not disappointed by the finish, a great little twist. Read this book!!
