4.0 out of 5 stars Part 4 is not complete, 25 July 2011
The music itself deserves 4 or 5 stars. On the other hand, what we get here is what amounts to a defective product: be warned that there is one second approximately missing in the middle of part 4 (12'38'' approx.) (where you should be hearing two clapping sounds you get just one), which breaks the rhythmic progression of that fragment. The HDCD version at least was complete.
There is no surround mix of Incantations itself because the multitrack tapes were either lost or unusable due to damage (bad storage, I suppose).
So, fantastic music, but be warned about the mistake in this new edition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great album but defective DTS track, 27 April 2010
I think it is pretty remarkable that no one seems to want to talk about the defective DTS track that plagues the new editions of ITCOTCK, Red and Lizard. The musical tracks that should be seamlessly joined are SEPARATED BY SILENT PAUSES, as if the DTS tracks had been decoded independently and not as a flow of music. I have checked this with three different machines, and the results are the same: silent breaks where there should be none. I hope that the next batch of KC editions will have this problem solved. I am talking exclusively about the DTS track, all the rest is great, but I don't think that this defect should go unnoticed as if the edition were technically perfect: it is not, sadly. The music is extraordinary, though, and if you don't care about the DTS track, then this edition is fantastic.
