5.0 out of 5 stars really shell-shocked lol, 29 Jan. 2015
took the kids to watch this film expecting it to be another boring kids film, however it turned out to be an amazing film that all the family enjoyed, including my miserable missus 'lol'.

4.0 out of 5 stars good film.....dont think., 29 Jan. 2015
This review is from: Gone Girl [DVD] [2014] (DVD)
brilliant film if you just watch what you see, do not think it over because you will dwell on the plot holes and the far fetched plot itself, apart from that warning it is an exceptional thriller thats well worth watching.

2.0 out of 5 stars the guest.... more like guess whats happening, 29 Jan. 2015
started off as a good film with good plot lines developing, however it soon developed into a diabolical shambles of an embarrassment, wooden acting that can only be described as taking the p**s out of the viewers integrity and a soundtrack that only emphasised the stupidity of the film. i dont think for a minute this film knows what film its meant to be so how the hell is the viewer meant to know.....eh? i will say that by the end of this 'film' the daftness did make me unintentionally laugh out loud, so it did cheer me up a bit, hence the two stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars very "inspired" by true events........, 16 Aug. 2014
This review is from: The Butler [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
i would have given this film 5 stars if i didnt read up on it. i know nearly all films based on true events are exaggerated but this film crosses the line. the main family character names are made up and one family member totally made up. i understand the subject of this film is very delicate to comment on, but the evil of man is disgusting enough with out having to make it up, for example some of the horrific scenes are totally made up for shock purposes only, when reality of evil is shocking enough, especially the opening scene which did not happen at all. i know the film is "inspired" by true events but i can not understand why some events have to be up and put in this film just to add to the story. if you enjoyed this film like i did, do not research the true story this was "inspired" by.

2.0 out of 5 stars multiplayer only, campaign broken. no save!, 2 Mar. 2014
This review is from: Battlefield 4 (PS4) (Video Game)
i know it is an unwritten rule to buy this game for the campaign, but that is why i buy my games, sorry! the multi playing aspect is a bonus, which in this case is a very good bonus. if i was a conspiracy theorist i would suggest that the developers are trying to deter the campaign players in any way possible, not only [from what i have read] is the campaign over quick and quite forgettable, but the save feature does not work. five times i have played missions, saved it, turned the ps4 off and when starting the game, i find that yet again my saves are no where to be found, at all! there is only so many times someone can go through this. if it was not for the online part of this game i would have traded this game in.

5.0 out of 5 stars a childs review on a childrens game - awesome!, 3 July 2013
This review is from: Cars 2 (PS3) (Video Game)
this is a review by my son - this game is 5 out of 5 and it is very funny when the other cars explode, but not when it happens to you. two thumbs up. you need to level up to get more cars, so it keeps you playing for a long time. very easy to play but gets harder the more levels you play, but still a lot of fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent film, 17 Jan. 2013
at last a comic book film that resembles the comic on which it is based on. everything about the film is the same as the comic, the look, the violence, the judges, the city and most of all that dredd keeps his helmet on the entire film. i cant really understand why this film flopped at the box office, maybe if it had the fan base of the batman universe it would have helped. i would say this film is on par with the batman saga in terms of how it sticks to the roots of the comics and not ruin itself to satisfy certain audiences. it amazes me how a film like this can do so bad, yet a film about vampires and werewolves(twilight-crap) can do so well at the box office, maybe if this film appealed to sad goths we might have got a sequel. shame, but thats how it goes sometimes.

3.0 out of 5 stars ha ha ha.........cane swinging!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 11 Jan. 2013
this film was very good, better than the first spiderman by a mile, but then came the crane swinging, the respect for this film took a nose dive when a mile of cranes came out of nowhere to help spiderman, its on par with peter parker dancing in spiderman 3. 5 star film otherwise!

1.0 out of 5 stars tried to be something better..., 11 Jan. 2013
This review is from: Panic Button [DVD] (DVD)
watched this on tv and thought id just wasted time out of my life, very cheap film in every way possible, it tried to be a 'saw' in the air film and failed so bad. ending was so depressing, maybe that had something to do with the fact id sat through such an awful film! stereotypical characters are an example on how to overact and the stupid voice of the 'alligator/crocodile' was just tedious.

2.0 out of 5 stars too many films in one......., 11 Jan. 2013
this film started out very good and i thought i knew what type of film i was watching, then it kept changing what type of film it wanted to be. was it a paranoia film, was it a medical film, was it a scientific film, was it an apocalyptic film, was it an emotional film, was it conspiracy film, was it a 'what if' film, or was it a 'stay away from asia' film? all elements in this film where very good but didnt seem to work together and the music was like something from a cheesy 70s movie, it just seemed to make the movie...wrong!
