I have read the reviews of other readers and entirely agree with them. The authors need to spend some serious time revising their book before considering a reprint.

A painful but amusing account of the best long distance trail in Europe. The author conveyed the agony and the delights of the daily trek, warts and all!

3.0 out of 5 stars An entertainig read., 22 Oct. 2013

The beginning of the book was a little heavy, but improved as the story progressed. The author has made some useful research into some contentious issues in the Pyrenees presenting it in a fair manner. We could have been spared the description of his foot problems!

4.0 out of 5 stars A powerful read., 22 Oct. 2013

I found some difficulty in following the thread of the story as it jumped around from time to time. However a very powerful story with excellent research. The author was able to delve into many areas of WW2 which are taboo in France, a difficult task.
