5.0 out of 5 stars Great, 23 May 2013

I've only used this for cardboard so far. It's ideal as far as I'm concerned - you have a bit of time for positioning, then once it's stuck it's stuck!

4.0 out of 5 stars Would recommend, 23 May 2013

I have nothing to compare this to as I had never used a glue gun before, but it does what I was expecting it to and seems to be well-designed and durable.

I've owned loads of flash drives over the years and this is the best by a mile. Small, great design, well-made, cheap. No problems so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good pans, 29 Jun. 2012

These pans are great for the price. They feel solid without being overly heavy, and they're pretty stylish too. The non-stick coating seems durable and they're fine in the dishwasher. Would buy again.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good addition, 3 Feb. 2012

This is a no-nonsense cookbook. There are no photos, but you get a lot of recipes for your money. I've only tried a few dishes so far (which were nice without being spectacular) but will certainly be attempting more over the next few months. Would buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Serious security, 2 Jan. 2012

This lock is a monster, it looks and feels VERY solid. It seems more likely that a thief will cut through the stand/railing you're locked to than through this lock! The downside of this is that it weighs in at just over 2kg, but you can't have it both ways...

As the name says, it is a 'mini' lock, so it fits around bike stands and railings, but not around lamp posts and some road signs. Also, depending on the size of the gap between frame and rear wheel on your bike, you might struggle to get this lock through both, so it won't suitable for everyone as a primary lock.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressive, 2 Jan. 2012

The build and audio quality of these speakers are excellent, and they are forgiving with regard to positioning. However, considering how small they are, don't expect sound that will fill a large room. If size is an issue (I needed something that would fit on my bookshelf) then these are a great buy, if not then I'd suggest going for something bigger.

PURE TEMPUS-1S, Luxury DAB/FM Clock Radio - Cherry
PURE TEMPUS-1S, Luxury DAB/FM Clock Radio - Cherry

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, 26 Feb. 2011

I did a fair bit of research before buying this product. My must-haves were: DAB, multiple alarms, good sound quality and the ability to plug in an iPod. Pure's reputation and the build quality of the Tempus were enough to swing it, despite there being newer alternatives on the market. The Tempus is definitely more a radio than a clock (which suits me because I also use it as a portable radio) but the clock functionality is excellent. The snooze handle works perfectly, and the display can be amply dimmed. Also the volume is controlled in small increments, and the minimum setting is very low so no problems going to sleep with the radio on. I consider the fact that the Tempus has an auxiliary input rather than an iPod dock to be an advantage as it's more flexible, but of course your iPod doesn't charge as it would in a dock, and you can't control it via the Tempus (though you can buy a Pure iPod dock separately). Some minor niggles: the display isn't very big (only an issue if you have bad eyesight like me!); some of the buttons (particularly Sleep and Alarm Off) would benefit from being easier to locate in the dark; the time always seems to be a minute or two out; there is no quick way to activate/deactivate the alarms - you have to go into the menu each time. Nonetheless it's a great product - build, sound and functionality are all excellent for a device of this type/price.
