2.0 out of 5 stars help im trapped in the tunnel !, 31 July 2010
I really want to like this series more being a big tintin fan but i just cant. This particular book made me feel like i was trapped with them after about 10 dark pages trapped under ground. The story was slow and pedantic and i rushed through it not reading all the words as they explain everything in so much detail i lost the will to live.I think i cant keep buying these unless the stories improve.Lack of humour and fun.It shows really what skills herge had to produce fully rounded characters that lived

1.0 out of 5 stars rehash of old idea, 23 Dec. 2008
im glad i didnt buy this book but got it from the library as has been already said this appears to have most of the context of the previous book about tonys tour with a fridge and i made the mistake of thinking this was a all new book.I like tony hawks and his writing but not when its just a rehash of whats gone before.Buyer beware!

3.0 out of 5 stars good but no tintin, 4 Sept. 2008
Having read all the translated blake and motimer stories so far ive enjoyed them to some extent but there is something missing which great art doesnt replace.i think its the fun and humour that captain haddock and snowy bring to herges books. Also theres so much too read in blake and mortimer stories that therefore dont make the storylines that easy to understand or keep up with and all to many times a bit like the cliffhanger serials of the 40s somehow with a paragraph blake and mortimer are free.So all in all I will still buy all those that are reprinted but dont expect to many laughs
