5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for Lent!, 22 Mar. 2010
I read this book all in one go and couldn't save it for every day in Lent. So funny, especially as it's written by a vicar! The next time I'm sitting in a 'churchy' group with the elegantly draped piece of voile on the floor (with obligatory candle, etc) being expected to pour out my soul with the others in the circle, I will think of this and probably not be able to keep a straight face. I used to think it was just me who thought 'What are they going on about?' now I know vicars feel that way sometimes, too! A laugh-out-loud book that's can also be deeply touching. Highly recommended to 'churchys' and 'non-churchys' alike. You'll find yourself 'strangely warmed' somewhere, somehow!
