5.0 out of 5 stars The best printmaking book for beginners!, 2 April 2010
Amazing book, full of useful informations about materials and techniques for printing on paper, fabric, walls, wood and so on, with wonderful photographs of finished items and easy-to-follow step-by-step pictures. I loved it! Everything a beginner needs to know about printmaking! It contains: stenciling, screenprinting (two methods), block printing, rubber foam printing, rubber block/linocuts printing, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect beginner's handbook, 5 May 2009
Almost anything a beginner could need to know about (hand)bookbinding can be found in this book. Description of a starting kit, basic pamphlet-stitch and dos-à-dos, single and multi-section case-binding, glued spine binding, posts, japanese stab binding, surface sculpting, etc. Very clear step-by-step pictures. Only a pair of niggles in my opinion: coptic binding is not included, and the cover is subject to 'ears'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful pictures, inspiring!, 5 May 2009
This review is from: Paper Textiles (Hardcover)
Very into japanese shifu, weaving and knitting. There is a large bibliography, and a list of suppliers and museums too. The book itself has a strong binding and I appreciate very much this feature.
