Totally up there with the type of stuff I love. Like a very grim homage of Day of the Triffids, War of the Worlds with that element of the Terminator series, I don't mean the robots, just the survivors banding together in their darkest days.
Very British, I can imagine some would complain about the use of bad language, but if it was doomsday, an alien invasion, us Brits would be cursing to kingdom come.
I do like the balance between the main character present tense telling the truth to his son before the aliens come to get him and how on the days of the alien invasion he met the enigmatic 'Traveller Stu' who helps him over the first few months, look for survivors and learn the enemy (aliens) tactics.
Book 2 needs to hurry, please.

Zombies vs. Robots 2: Volume 2 (Out of the rubble)
by Joe Cautilli
Edition: Paperback
Price: £9.92

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a fair review...but, 2 Dec. 2013
OK first off I have to see I haven't read the first book, which is very problematic from the get go.

The good points, it is a fun book with lots of action, zombies and robots, it's like a horror film meets Manga but western and full of underlying political angst.

Bad points due hopefully to not reading first novel, can't feel too much sympathy for the characters, partly due to the fact there are far too many, you feel overwhelmed trying to take it all in plus all the factions, survivors, military, NSA, community of the phoenix, a God one.
The robots, not really sure how they are controlled as such, whether it's like the loaders from 'ALIENS' or it's like virtual reality but with that I am sure it tells all in number one.

The only other thing which you'd expect there is a lot of mistakes and in some cases you're not really sure if you have read the sentence right.

But please start from book 1 then read this, hopefully when I do i shall re-read this.

I got mine used so no poster. However it shows some fantastic matches interspersed with John talkin about his wrestling career. Some funny chop up bits of him and the miz and some amazing behind the scenes footage of him free-running.

This is like the 3rd dvd I have of the heartbreak kid, in it's own right it's very good, and good for any WWE collection, however if you only really want 1 Shawn Michaels dvd then go for the 3 disc ones, more stuff. But if you don't want everything, long interviews and stuff, then get this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not for everyone but if you are looking then you know this director, 23 Aug. 2013

I've watched the first 5 in the set and realised apart from the brutally humerous attack on violence in movies with funny games, I had also seen Benny's video and pretty certain I had seen the castle aswel. For anyone who enjoys the art of film making and the beauty of film this is a set for you.

Not finished yet so will have to update once I'm done but so far it's a rather enjoyable *B-MOVIE* romp for lack of a better way of putting it.

Rather lazy on reading as of late but I have finally finished this fun romp. with an emotional warmth of reality along for the ride, real characters trying to cope in a small community set upon by a virus turning the dead into flesh eating zombies.

A great read for any zombie fans, just don't expect a huge apocalypse type, with cities being overrun with hordes of undead and the military being sent in to either save the day or make it far far worse.
