5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Book I have Read in my life, 11 Feb. 2004
I myself am a huge DMX fan and of hip-hop music in general, so for me this book was going to be brilliant if it was ten pages long.
But in a critical view, starting chronologically from his rough and unstable childhood, to battling Jay-Z on pool tables to his weddiing day, this book has it all. As another reviewer rightly said DMX loves life and we do anything and overcome all obstactles in his path to success and victory.
There are bits to make you smile, laugh, leave you stunned and make you cry. This book has it all.
A must for any hip-hop fan or anyone who needs an insight to the struggles and glorys of life. PD

5.0 out of 5 stars StillMatic - Appreciate this quality product, 13 Jan. 2004
This review is from: Stillmatic (Audio CD)
Whenever I go to read a customer review, I always like to know the highlights of the album or the lowlights, so instead of beatin round tha bush, I'm a kick to you straight.
The intro : basic enough, but quality rapping, similar to a dmx album.
Ether : Known as tha Jay-Z diss.Absolutely amazin track, honest and shows Jigga who runs NY.
Got ur self a: absolute amazin', no bull bout it
Smokin : average to good. good lyrics but no classic, but yet an excellent trak
Rewind: I love this trak. A short story that begins at the end. Only nas can perfect it.
Youre da man:Another great song, talkin about how he didnt intend for superstardom, jus wanted to be heard.
One Mic: Powerful. Deep. Need i say more?
2nd Childhood: Not a standout track but still quality.
Destroy n Rebuild: A trak representin QB. Good lyrics,as always, good not great.
Flyest: At first i was unsure bout it, but after i few listens, i tcan hold its own on the LP. Good to Very good.
Rule: Possibly the weakest trak on the cd, but not a great lot wrong wit it.
My Country : Quality, well thot out and overall damn good song.
What goes around: OK, but by no means a bad trak.
So overall, i f***in love this album, Nas has hit back to the pressures and shown his skills to be superior to evryone. Jay-Z cudnt comply wit a better cd. Buy it, u definitely won't regret it. Nasir Jones or DMX, the best rappers around today?
