A superb book on RAF Coastal Command, 10 April 2005
Coastal Command has never received enough attention from authors, and this timely book offers a clearly written text and hundreds of well reproduced photos, with in-depth and expert captions. Some of the shots were known to me but many I hadn't seen. The concise text gives a lucid account of Coastal Command operations, both anti-submarine and anti-shipping. The author definitely knows his stuff - but working as a curator at the Imperial War Museum he should do!
I can heartily recommend this book to all those whose interest in the RAF extends beyond Spitfires and Lancasters.
