DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!, 29 Nov. 2013
This textbook is good in that it is based on the latest version of the curriculum and covers all aspects of same. If you like rote learning of lists this may be your book, however please continue reading my review before you purchase. It contains few illustrations/diagrams/tables to break the monotony of texts. Perhaps the most important thing to note about this text are the NUMEROUS mistakes.
To pass the MCEM A you need to get approximately 70% (this varies with each exam diet); given this high percentage there is a very narrow margin for error. If you are studying from a book such as this that contains innumerable mistakes it is conceivable that you may not pass the exam. I would no longer trust any of the information contained in it. I use it only as a reference for curriculum content. I emailed Oxford Press a number of weeks ago to voice my complaints but as yet have not received a response.
