Well worth reading!, 28 Oct. 2013
This is well worth reading. It's an enjoyable adventure story aimed at engaging the attention of younger people in conservation and the natural world. This book focuses on the Central American country of Belize, providing local colour and information that has you reaching for Google Earth and satellite photos on the one hand and for Wikipedia and its info on individual animals and plants on the other.
The concept of Bodhi and her adventure may be to inform younger people, but, as a pensioner with an interest in geography and the world, I both enjoyed and learned from this book. It closes with a teaser, paving the way for a follow up in Indonesia, and that's something to look forward to. Now, a film version would be worthwhile: just a thought.
