5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Debut, 14 Nov. 2005
OK so after seeing this band live a good few times over the past couple of years(Including supporting the Legends Thin Lizzy and Thunder) and buying their singles/EP's, this album had a LOT to live up to.
The bands live show is excellent and many bands fail to live up to such high standards on record. Winterville however have managed to produced a debut album that while taking a lot from classic rock bands as well as the more recent "Grunge" era, have still managed to produce something that sounds new and refreshing in a market saturated with similar-sounding "Indie".
For any of you who like your bands to have excellent vocals, but still be able to play the guitar this album is a must have!
Catch them on tour if you can!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy It NOW!!!!, 16 Sept. 2003
This review is from: Thirteenth Step (Audio CD)
I have been waiting for the Follow up to "Mer De Noms" for some time now and as the release date got closer and closer my expectations got higher and higher to the point that once i had "Thirteenth Step" and had just started listening to it, i was starting to think i was going to be dissapointed. But now after about 5 listens, the beauty and depth of this album is shining through and is making me want to listen even more, Maynard and Billy are as Amazing as ever!
Everybody should own this album(as well as Mer De Noms) so buy it NOW!!
