1.0 out of 5 stars OK, Maybe it's because I'm neither American, or a prepper, but this series..., 10 April 2017
This review is from: Zombie Rules (Kindle Edition)
The Protagonist starts as a bullied, naive schoolkid. But after the ZA he becomes literally a walking talking Deus Ex Machina. He has encyclopedic knowledge of everything you could imagine (not just regurgitating facts, but shows deep understanding of any topic ever - even Nuclear Physics). He's a super-soldier! What's left of the army either die by his hand or prostrate themselves at his feet, overwhelmed by his tactical genius. He's the world's best shot as well, thankfully (and can bestow this ability on his companions). And he is 'Teh Most Desirable Man In The World'. evry women wants to have him (even the lesbians)

And he knows more about everything and is better at everything that anyone ever, especially those pansy politicians from washington who don't know nuthin!

Are you a home-schooled redneck who dreams of creating a fiefdom with a willing harem of teenage girls, all the while dispensing justice from the barrel of a gun? You'll love this (if you can get someone to read it to you)

For everyone else...no so much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chaos reigns, 4 Feb. 2017

I love this series. The enemy is truly terrifying. The heroes are not invincible. The fighting is brutal and chaotic.

It reminds me of Warhammer 40k. That's how Grimdark it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Slow Burn Flames Brightly, 22 Mar. 2016

So here we are. Book 9 of one of the best post-apocalypse series out there. It's been a long hard ridevfor our protagonists (and us) but with this book Bobby Adair gives us faint glimmer of hope for the future. More reflective than previous entries, we deal with the toll the infection and end of the world has taken on the survivors, as they come to terms with what they've had to do to make this far while so many others died.

The best entry in the series by far, and a worthy testament to the author's skill in crafting an emotionally touching narrative. With this book Bobby Adair has truly blossomed

5.0 out of 5 stars A True Apocalypse Thriller, 22 Oct. 2015

Brilliant addition to the Zombie genre. Truly conveys the apocalyptic theme that the genre sometimes lacks. There are no uplifting tales of fighting back against the dead here. Just the growing realisation that humanity is finished as a species. Brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful addition to Apocolypse Fiction, 26 April 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a remarkable addition to the genre. Well fleshed out characters, heroes, villains and the undead. A front row seat to the end of the world. Too many zombie novels focus too tightly on one location. End, while following a team of soldiers and civilians trying to hold back the tide, also gives an overview of a world in its dying moments. It brings something too often missing....despair.

Fantastic motherboard for my Mini-itx gaming rig. Great feature set, and the combined wifi-bluetooth module is very useful. The socket is offset to the left so most coolers won't interfere with the PCI-E socket.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best zombie book I've read all year, 6 July 2014

A fantastic take on the zombie genre. Slow burn is a great series about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, a situation made harder for our protagonist by the fact that he was infected by the plague that turns humans into savage cannibals but didn't suffer all of the symptoms. Get this and the three others in series.

1.0 out of 5 stars Windows 7 owners beware, 19 May 2010

If you don't have Vista or Windows 7 64bit then this works fine. If you do own Vista or Windows 7 64bit it doesn't work at all. A few weeks ago McAfee released an update that crashes 64bit operating systems and there is no sign of a fix on the horizon. So i'm in a position where two of my pc's were left unprotected. Total waste of money. I'm now using a competitors product and will never return to McAfee. Customer service was a joke: "We are aware of this issue, we will email you if we resolve it"
