A New Dictionary of Christian Ethics
A New Dictionary of Christian Ethics
by John Macquarrie
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars An indispensible book for teachers of Ethics, RS and RE, 31 Jan. 2014
I have been a teacher of A level Ethics and Philosophy of Religion for almost 40 years. There was an earlier version of his book which was edited by John MacQuarrie alone and it was also an excellent book. I am buying another copy of the 1986 edition since my own copy has yet again dissapeared. I can't recommend this book enough. Every RE/RS teacher should have one. It is an indispensable reference book for teachers like myself. The summaries are clear and easy and quick to use. For the busy teacher who may not have the time to research every thing in the detail that he/she might want, this book is your answer. Personally over 40 years I have learned a lot from MacQuarrie about Ethics and it has saved me a lot of time. Sometimes as a young teacher, if I didn't get time to prepare an topic Macquarrie's dictionary was an excellent place to start and when teased out and discussed with students it provided me and my students with ample material. The references are good and the Biblical references can easily be checked by students.

After playing through it once youll be blown away by the huge step between PS1 and PS2 graphics that allows for all of the visual imperfections of the original hit to be put right. But 10 minutes later and after all the pre-release hype youl realise that this games is a huge anti-climax. The original is just so much better, Kojima the director used the more blocky graphics of the PS1 to his advantage giving the game a hugely realistic feel specially in the outdoor scenes blurring the snow and the wind like in reality.
Buy Splinter Cell instead if your looking for stealth, or the original Metal Gear as its a classic and a cheap as hell now.
You could also wait for MGS3 which will be released in late 2004
