The Mighty Chills return. And what a return it is! A superb album. They've lost nothing in the intervening years. I'm not going to say it's a more mature group of songs or any other false platitude. This is simply The Chills as they always have been.This album is a natural progression in their journey, but it fits in perfectly with every step that has gone before.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ponderous, 22 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When one is used to reading Stephen King, then any comparison with other authors is slightly unfair. I've nearly completed this book, but it's a battle of attrition. Two discrepancies in the story thus far is very annoying. It's a slow ponderous read. I will try another book, but if it doesn't raise the bar, then goodbye, Scott!

5.0 out of 5 stars Integrity., 25 Feb. 2015
A superb read. Marky writes from the gut, from the heart and from the soul. This is not just another cash in. This book lays The Ramones on the cold marble slab for an autopsy. Integrity and honesty are the watchwords of Marky Ramone. The most fitting book for Ramones' fans. Buy it, read it, keep it. This book belongs with the vinyl and CD's.

2.0 out of 5 stars Distinctively Poor., 5 Feb. 2015
I love a good read, this is most definitely not a good read. Ultra boring in places. I found myself actually speed reading and skipping full pages of boring facts. This book could have been so much better. It plods along like a really bad album. It was hard to finish. It'll be heading to the charity shop for some poor unsuspecting person to be tortured by the self important and self promoting authors. Blondie deserve better.

This is simply one excellent read. I've read a few Harry Turtledove alternate history books, and this is right up there with them. Ian Andrew has poured himself into this work. I had my 'First Novel' doubts floating around in my head as I ventured into the first few pages. Doubts dispelled within the first chapter. It really is a page turner {pardon the pun.}
I don't know how the author will follow this up, he has set the bar very high for himself.
