5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Buy, 9 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
An excellent book, well presented and a great supplement to Friedman's British Carrier Aviation.

Any Aircraft Carrier and/or Royal Navy enthusiast must buy this book...not only great plans and photos but content I've never known of are included.

Most interesting fact I've found so far..only had two days perusing so far...the clarification of the Eagle/Ark Royal class ships...the fact the third ship was so near completion to launch before work was stopped and all was scrapped is new to me. A missed opportunity for the RN..if this ship had been completed to launch status and preserved to complete later then the massive and expensive rebuild of the Victorious would have never been necessary...complete the third hull...HMS Audacious perhaps and have a 3 ship class of updated Fleet carriers.

I'm sure there is much other treasure to be discovered in this great book...Buy now and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Rate Exemplar, 26 Oct. 2009
Since reading of this title's pending publication I have had my order in place and the parcel finally arrived in far off Auckland a few days ago.
Intial impressions...first rate study of the fascinating French Battleships, planned and built and of the careers of the completed units.
Jordan and Dumas are to be congratulated on moving the already high standard of naval vessel monographs,up till now The Kelly's and Taylor's HMS Hood, the examplers a further step forward.
Coloured profiles/artwork, fine drawings and photos and a revealing and detailed text are all present. First class print and production from Seaforth is also hugely valuable.
As a Naval and Technical book enthusiast I cannot recommend French Battleships too strongly, Excellent, Five Stars standard and essential purchase and reading for all steel and steam warship afficenados.
Would it be too much to hope that the authors now complete a French Cruisers title of similar standard used the articles in Warship volumes as a starting point.
Summary...Highly Recommended

Autumn Kill

5.0 out of 5 stars "Action packed", 26 Sept. 2009
This review is from: Autumn Kill (Paperback)
A chilling adrenalin paced yarn...The inextricable triangle of the 3 main characters drawn together by circumstances by the authour is the mainstay of the book. Anders Riiss as the maleovant, caustic hitman has an edge, the final end denouement of this story creeps up and is both sly and unexpected!

As a first published novel by a successful and well established playwright this book speaks well for further books yet to come.

An author to be watched for.
