Parade, a short story by Cathy McGough
We join the story with nine girls already missing and Jessica is about to become number ten. Have the victims been killed? The police need to stop this from happening again and again but with no bodies, no evidence Detective Jasper McQueen is at a loss. Even when they appear on the TV for women to be careful they are still going missing
The opening scene is well done and does create a feeling of dread for girl number 10

I thought it had a kind of pulp fiction sort of feel with the multiple POV’s and what has the number 3 have to do with the case? Or does the Gas attendant just have a fear of that number.?

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 as I don't want this seen as a negative review.

4.0 out of 5 stars 4/5 fantastic stars and worth every single one of them, 29 Jun. 2017
These poems touched me, made me think about life, what it throws your way a kind of soul searching really. The author was very clever with her poems, there is a kind of freedom about the way they are written; they let you read into to them what you will, something very personal.
4/5 fantastic stars and worth every single one of them

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth a read!, 19 Jun. 2017

Saturnine has problems; she can’t get over her ex. She has sought help and still 2 years on, she still needs closure.
That’s when she sees the advert that says time travel is here. After begging her doctor and persuading him that this is what she needs to get closure she sets off on her journey.

The clinic tells her she can’t change history, and all she needs to do is focus on where she wants to be in her past.

A new take on time travel and an enjoyable read. I had many questions as I read, is time travel real or is it just a form of hypnosis they put her under? Why does she keep travelling to the same spot if she can’t change the past?
All these questions and more get answered at the end. Well worth a read!

A truly heart-warming tale of the effects dementia has on the family, but also what it can leave untouched in the sufferer.
You will be drawn into the magic that is Archie’s world, but you will also feel the heartache his daughter feels when her father doesn’t recongnise her.
Well-deserved 5 stars.

I would highly recommend this wonderful Novelette. The perfect size to read in one sitting.

What a fascinating story, loosely based on people's real-life experiences. Here we follow the life of fourteen-year-old Kathleen from the 1970’s until she is in her 50’s
It’s not just Kathleen’s story, the effect the abuse had on her, but how it affects everyone around her. Sadly, I fear things like this still goes on in the world today.

Mysterious deaths keep occurring at Bounderdales mansion. So many people with so many secrets... and a secret from Cullot's own past. Ex-Inspector Cullot and Detective Sergeant Watkins, investigate, but Cullot appears to know more than he’s letting on.
Just like the other 2 Cullot mysteries, this story is full of slapstick humour, PC Blunt will keep you in amused and Cullot, who, since leaving the force, has taken a position in ladies' undergarments…Purely in a professional manner, of course
