1.0 out of 5 stars Buyers BEWARE of Nanobits Ltd. and GOLDENHARBEST, 6 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This Panasonic BD-RE DL should be a 20 pack set as it was created by Panasonic.jp, the Item Model Number: LM-BE50T20N and EAN code: 4984824944688 belongs to a 20 PACK of PANASONIC RE-WRITABLE DL (50GB) Blu-rays, not to a single NON-BRANDED cheap and unknown media offered here by: Nanobits Ltd. and GOLDENHARBEST, you can verify this by going to any other Amazon platform like amazon.com (see below if they do not block the link):

http://www.amazon.com/PANASONIC-Blu-ray-Rewritable-Ink-jet-Printable/dp/B005QI4VQK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333734124&sr=8-1

Ask yourself how a seller can offer this item for 9.99 including shipping while the closer one is 168.00????
Shame on those sellers and SHAME on Amazon.co.uk for allowing this counterfeit product being sold in here, I lost my time and money by ordering in here.
I will change my ratings of the product once Amazon prevents sellers for doing such an unethical practice...

5.0 out of 5 stars accurate colors - great 3D result, 19 Mar. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
One of the most accurate colors I have ever gotten from a 3D movie, this discs burn really fast and the final result is equal to the original source, I recommend this media for movies less than 2hours length because 3D format consume double of the space.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product at a Very Good Price, 6 Mar. 2011
This is a High Quality Blu-Ray Blank Media, It is ideal for Movie transfer due to the 25GBs that normally will fit 95% of the Movies out there (120 to 180 minutes in 1080/24p or 1080/60p format). Surface Color is White Inkjet Printable meaning that you do not need a DVD label to put on top of it (but you can do it if needed), another important feature is TDK's DURABIS2 Hard Coating for superior scratch resistance.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Much Grown Ahead..., 10 Feb. 2011
This is a great start, into the consumer 3D world image. Panasonic has always tried to be ahead in the upcoming camcorder technology and this time they are putting their ingenuity to the test. Even though 3D movies had been around for many years, Panasonic is making it possible that this technology reaches to the general public, great news, for the few in love with 3D image! This is among the first generation of its kind, perhaps we should wait a bit longer, for future and improved 3D camcorder generations.

As everything in this world this Camcorder is NOT for everyone, some will love it and some will hate it, this is what I found out.

If you already own any of the top Panasonic HD Camcorders like the Panasonic HDC-TM700K Hi-Def Camcorder, Panasonic HDC-TM350 Twin Media Limited Edition or Panasonic HDC-TM300 Twin Media HD Camcorder or their hard drive models (HS700/350/300) you may stick to what you have. Because as far as REAL WORLD (2D) recording quality, this camcorder does not offer you much more advantage, in fact every aspect of this 3D camcorder, is identical to the HDC-TM700 except for some Image Stabilization improvement & the lack of internal memory which is a major step back .

Who may be a good candidate for this Camcorder? Those who would like to upgrade their old equipment and have plenty of money to spare to amuse their friends and family with a 3D image.

This is what you will be needing before getting into this technology: You will need to have a HD 3D TV, 3D Glasses, HDMI 1.4 Version, a 3D Blu-ray player, A High End PC (i7 8GB RAM) capable of burning Blu-rays and lots of patience with the Editing Software, because the one included is the HD Writer AE 2.6T which is a very basic one, as they usually provide.

How it works: (Taken from Panasonic Website)

"In natural vision, people see slightly different images with their right and left eyes. This difference is called visual disparity. The brain uses visual disparity to perceive spatial depth and the appearance of solidity. This visual disparity is artificially produced for 3D images so that the brain will interpret it as depth and solid-appearing objects. The SDT750 comes with a special 3D conversion lens that records right-eye and left-eye images simultaneously through its two lenses. The right and left images (each with 960 x 1080 pixels) that enter through the lenses are recorded using the side-by-side method. By attaching the 3D conversion lens to the SDT750 3MOS System camcorder, which incorporates a variety of Panasonic broadcast technologies, and connecting the SDT750 to a TV that is capable of side-by-side method 3D playback, vividly colorful 3D images can be viewed at home"

I think overall this is a great introduction by Panasonic into the 3D film making world, by the end of next year this technology along with the TVs, Blu-ray Players, Satellite broadcasting, Movies Developers and Camcorders itself will be at a much more advanced stage and will be a lot of fun to enjoy all the excitement of being part of the 3D tech world...

5.0 out of 5 stars Master Piece!, 10 Feb. 2011
This is what you can call a "Master Piece". These are the FIRST 6X Blu-ray Media on a 50GB Dual Layer Disc ever created. Comparing this ones to the traditional 2X from Sony & Panasonic is getting to the finish line 3 times faster, not to mention that in this media is NOT COMPATIBILITY RESTRICTIONS.

Extremely highly recommended for all Blu-ray Disc Media consumers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb++ Video/Audio Blu-Ray Media, 10 Feb. 2011
Technology is moving faster than time. When VCRs came out, it took over 20 years to move to the DVD world, then another 10 years to the Blu-ray era but now every 3 or 4 months a new Blu-ray Disc or Player comes out. With all this 3D technology fever, and HD, 1080p, 5.1, 7.1 Surround Sound, DTS HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD, you name it, the complexity of the formats have impacted the Blank Media Industry because more quality and space is needed to be able to support all those types of Video/Audio Formats.

What you get from the Panasonic BD-R DL is superior quality. Any copy made will have same quality as the original. These are (along with TDK & Sony) the best Blu-ray Discs available on the market today for Movies transfer. Of course they can be used for DATA but you do not need to pay this price if that is your intention, the main idea of this type of Blu-ray is MOVIE COPYING so you get 1080/24p along with any of the top Audio Formats like DTS HD Master Audio.

If prices on this Panasonic BD-R DL are way high, you may get the same result with the following sets:

10x Verbatim Blu-ray BD-R DL 50GB (6x)

If SPEED is a Priority:

TDK Blu-ray Disc 10 Pack - 50GB 6X BD-R DL - Printable

If 50GB is NOT really needed:

Panasonic Blu-ray Disc 10 Pack - 25GB 6X BD-R

Sony Blu-ray Disc 10 Pack - 25GB 6X BD-R - White Inkjet Printable

If High Quantities is required:

Panasonic Blu-ray Disc 30 Spindle - 25GB 4X BD-R - Printable [2010 Version]

TDK Blu-ray Disc 50 Spindle - 25GB 4X BD-R - Printable

Sony Blu-ray Disc 50 Spindle - 25GB 4x Speed BD-R

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE Item!!!!, 10 Feb. 2011
This is a great accessory for those who plan to film a lot or go to frequents travels with a camcorder because in those situations the included battery will not last long enough. For all the mentioned models in the product description (plus some others that I will mention at the end) you do NOT need the optional Battery Pack Holder Kit VW-VH04. In continues recording using Time-Lapse Mode you get close to 5 hours out of it (LCD closed), and in regular recording modes, like filming the Sunset on a tripod you get close to 4 hours, in a conventional recording situations when you turn ON and OFF the camcorder, Zoom IN and OUT a lot of times and having the LCD open you may not get the full 3 hours but it gets very close.

To me this is a MUST HAVE item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Choice, 10 Feb. 2011
Many times we need to save some material, data/info for a while but without needing to keep it forever, other times we have a rented movie but no time to see it, or we have a finished video edition and want to share it with others before burn it to the final destination (in case changes are needed), in any of this cases this 3 Blu-ray set is the perfect choice. Some people has complained about the possible errors when the disc is dirt but the same thing happened with any other BD-RE in the market, you need to clean it always before inserting into your BD Drive and won't have any problem.
