Absolutely magnificent! Music that makes you smile and feels like summer. Saw him on this tour in London last year and wished they had recorded that - the atmosphere was amazing - fortunately this captures that in his home country so the crowd is (almost) as vocal. If you don't know him, he is a superb songwriter, arranger and performer, and what a band. Really pleased with this product - great sound and well filmed. It's also pretty good value - both CD and DVD (NOT DVD AUDIO as described by the way - it is a video of the concert, and should play in any DVD player or computer).

I've been wishing for this for years, having seen him on the tour. The quality of visuals and sound is superb and really captures the atmosphere. I remembered being impressed by Youssou N'Dour and this reminded me why - a pretty hard act to follow in itself - I'm so glad they included his opening set on the DVD. Peter Gabriel's show is as impeccable as you would expect with some emotional and uplifting moments (his fall back into the audience - an amazing moment when I saw it - "Don't Give Up", Youssou joining him for a joyous "In Your Eyes").

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!, 17 Feb. 2012

This is an absolutely beautiful classical piano piece, somewhat reminiscent of Rachmaninov. A version originally featured on an album by the rock group The Enid, of which Robert is a founding member - a band which very successfully (thanks to his strong classical background) fused classical with rock music, but this is an entirely classical piece. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique, powerful original at last on CD, 16 Oct. 2010
The Enid have a unique meld of classical and rock and this is an extraordinary moving, powerful, exciting debut that sets out their "sound" so confidently from the start. If you are interested in what can be done with a classical approach to rock music (as opposed to rocking up the classics a la ELP) you should give this a go (not that it's played with an orchestra or anything - more like the rock band is arranged like an orchestra). Composition, production and sound are excellent. This is a beautiful album. (Aerie Faerie Nonsense - my favourite - Live at Hammersmith and the new Journey's End are also well worth checking out)

This is a beautiful version of a lovely uplifting Yes song. I wasn't sure what extra Magenta could bring to it, but they've really captured the spirit - great vocals and a nice guitar part. The instrumental and acoustic versions are also worth getting.
