I enjoyed the read, the whole bake-off and rural village feel of it, but felt maybe it was tad too short (I read it well within half an hour). The concept was very good, but perhaps it needed a deeper insight to some of the characters or a maybe subplot? If you have 30 mins to spare and just want a very quick Christmas read (and possibly a recipe) then this is probably the book for you! If you want something a bit more substantial to spend a lazy Christmas day or two, then I would look elsewhere - may I suggest A Merry Little Christmas
or I'm Dreaming of a Wilde Christmas (A laugh-out-loud romantic comedy)
neither are free, but very cheap and good Christmas reads.
