Only the best books ever written!, 3 Oct. 2004
These books have bumped my long-standing list of favourite books (including the LOTR trilogy, Peter Pan, and the Narnia books) down a notch, and that's saying a lot. I didn't think any books could do that. These books deserve a lot more attention (though I almost dread it becoming an international obsession like LOTR has become). They are extremely original, and in some way they don't seem to care at all if you like them or not, they just ARE. By the end you'll feel you're a traitor to the Borribles for growing up. You'll want to start your own band and move to London. They are bittersweet stories which get progressively more serious as the epic unfolds. I'd like to take on the whole SBG myself. Why couldn't they leave the Borribles alone? The characters are completely real, some loyal, some backstabbing, with a nice amount of bravery and cunning thrown into the mixture. I'm so irritated that they haven't even come out in Canada yet. Why are they keeping these books underground? It's pure insanity. Read these books if you can get your hands on a copy - and remember, DON'T GET CAUGHT!
