5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic end to a fantastic season, 26 Sept. 2005
Being old enough to have watched Dr Who (mainly Tom Baker and then Peter Davidson) the first time, I eagerly awaited the new series. It was more than I could hahev ever hoped for and this set of episodes, showcases the talent of Christopher Eccleston.
The ending did make me shed a tear and I am sorry to see him leave but am sure that David Tennant will make a briiliant Dr.
The beeb have outdone themselves with Dr Who and I am counting the days until the next series!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best of the Police Academy films, 11 Sept. 2005
As the first of the series this was the most original and funny of all the police academy films. No matter how many times I watch this film (and it has been loads of times) it never fails to make me laugh.
It is silly with slapstick humour, but this film showcases 80's slapstick at its best. Steve Guttenberg and Kim Cattrall both give fantastic performances.
Unfortuately the rest of the films never lived up to the standard of this one, and in the end gave all the films a bad reputation, but dont let that put you off, this is a must own film, and is guarenteed to make you laugh!

5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate 80's film, 8 Sept. 2005
This is the film that defined the era, and of course marked the beginning of the Brat Pack.
The plot is simple yet thought provking and funny at the same time. The raw emotion and passion of the characters is something that everyone can identify with no matter what there age.
It is a fantastic nostalgic trip for those who remember it, and the feeling that you get from the opening chords of Simple Minds opening track, but it also appeals to a new generation to young to remember it the first time round.
So sit back and ask are you, the Jock, Nerd, Basket Case, or princess?

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have 80's classic, 8 Sept. 2005
This review is from: The Sure Thing [DVD] (DVD)
This seems to be a film that gets overlooked whenever films from the 80's are mentioned but it really is a classic. John Cusack is as brilliant as ever and you will have fun spotting all the now well known actors who were then just starting out.
It is a feelgood film, with the road trip madness and a good storyline, the characters are funny and well acted.
A must for any fan of the 80's to add to their collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very naughty pleasure, 29 Aug. 2005
A very good collection of erotic short stories, and there is a story included that would suit the taste of most readers. Unlike other books which promise alot but are actually quite tame, this book does deliver and is very raunchy, and will get you hot under the collar

5.0 out of 5 stars Please read this book, 4 Jun. 2005
This review is from: Don't Eat This Book (Paperback)
Having watched the film Supersize Me, I was keen to read the book, as you get a more in-depth view of why Morgan made the film, and the staggering insight into the misinformation and murky world that is fast food. After reading this book you will never look at a hamburger in the same way again!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must see show, 6 Feb. 2005
Will and Grace has filled the gap left by the ending of Friends, without evern trying. The stories are well written and often having me crying with laughter. The characters are superb and the actors perfectly cast.
For anyone who has been living underground for the last few years and has managed not to watch Will and Grace, or if you love it like I do, buy the DVD's as you will laugh over and over again

5.0 out of 5 stars The Truth Is Still Out There, 14 Nov. 2004
With every season that was produced the Xfiles just got better and better. By Season 3 the characters were well developed and the overall story arc beginning to gather more speed and intrigue. I now cant wait for the rest of the seaons to be re-released so I can keep adding to my collection. Just remember the Truth Is Out There.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic 80's movie, 3 May 2004
This review is from: Some Kind Of Wonderful [DVD] (DVD)
Being a child of the eighties,it makes feel very nostalgic whenever I watch this film, but that aside, this is one of the best films from the era. The storyline and characters are excellent and even if it is a tad predictable it doesnt matter as it has the perfect romantic ending.
If you only ever own one teen movie from the 80's I would make it this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shenmue II, 3 May 2004
This review is from: Shenmue II (Xbox) (Video Game)
Having played both instalments on the Dreamcast and very quickly becoming addicted to the game, I was very pleased to see the second instalment get released on the XBOX. Prepare to be immersed in a complete world with huge landscapes and lots of interactive characters. The only minor let down is the dodgy voice acting, but dont let this put you off missing out on a fantastic game. Do expect to lose all contact with the outside world until you have completed the game.
If you own an XBOX then you should defintely own this game.
