This CD is great!
Recorded live in April 2008, an entire solo piano performance, with no cuts or edits. A truly eclectic collection of piano gems from such legends as Art Tatum, Duke Ellngton, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson, Thelonius Monk, Bud Powell, Bill Evans, Fats Waller, Earl Hines,Nat King Cole, George Shearing and other luminaries of jazz piano.
Craig Milverton, is a jazz genius and deserves far more recognition in this country. Check out some of his other solo and ensemble discs. His playing is immaculate and rich in style, emotion and virtuosity.
If you want one disc representing the history and development of jazz piano from ragtime to the modern era, this is it! Great sleeve notes, providing valuable insights into the techniques of these jazz legends, add to the enormous enjoyment of this disc.

This is a great CD. Craig Milverton is a superb jazz pianist and on this disc can also be heard performing great licks on Hammond organ. His inventive solos are a delight. Martin Dale is a great saxophonist, with impeccable tone, and makes his tenor talk. If you like great jazz, and want to hear it played by some of Britain's very finest musicians get this disc now, you will not regret it. If you get the chance to see these guys live, you are in for a real treat!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great guitar, fine jazz, 25 Feb. 2008

Cameron Pierre is a very fine jazz guitarist. He has his own individual style, but if you like the flowing rhythms and melodic lines of Wes Montgomery you will certainly like this. He recently toured with Courtney Pine and played beautifully with very fine and inspired improvisations. Do yourself a favour and "pad up" for this great jazz guitar disc.
