5.0 out of 5 stars Gods of Rock, 27 Nov. 2002
This review is from: Everybody's Cursed (Audio CD)
Why is it that every time I hear Little Hell I think that they are one step away from becoming rock gods. If you like alternative music with intellegence and black humour then this is for you! I listen to their music and wonder why this band hasn't stormed up massive media attention hypeing them up with all the alledged saviours of rock. This is a good thing, it is better to find a band who are lurking below the mainstream and aren't commercially hyped this way music fans aviod dissapointment. Onto the single, Ludwin and his amigos muster up again three blistering tracks. One by one they rock out in that alternative/stoner fashion. The immediate influence of the Pixies is evident and holds them in good stead, blasting out the basslines and quirky guitar riffs that only the true rock genius has in his back pocket. If you have any taste at all in your rock then buy this!

5.0 out of 5 stars A little resect for little hell, 13 Aug. 2002
This review is from: Virus With Shoes (Audio CD)
Maximum respect to Steve Ludwin and co. Little Hell since their last single have ditched the chick singer and the ex-Carrie singer/guitarist is back where he should be, chundering out vocals that will make you wish that every band took inspiration from this. The lyrics are second to none and share the same diverseness as Ludwins' old band Carrie. It is obvious that Little Hell are from the school of Pixies influence with a really catchy melody and has serious alternative rockability. The b-sides are just as catchy and rock out big time. Anyone who likes alternative rock should buy this, and buy it now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Appreciation of the 'Pumpkins, 17 Jan. 2002
What a bargain!34 awesome songs for such a price a compilation of b-sides and their greatest hits, which brings me to my one criticism its not really their greatest hits-its their singles and don't really reflect their best work. But you can't go wrong with the pumpkins, if Billy and the crew seen these singles fit to release on single then who am I to argue.Don't get me wrong I love the songs the 'Pumpkins released on single they are quite simply not their best.Apart from that this album has it all electrifying guitar solos, scorching bass lines the freshed drum beats around, since Dave Grohl, and the vocals bring home what a collection of talented artists this group are. To sum up great songs, great album, great band! Sorry to lose them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ludwin's sensational comeback, 21 Jan. 2001
This review is from: Emotional Vampire Sound (Audio CD)
This is the best single I have heard in a long time, the lyrics have a bizzare twist and the singing is very refreshing from Lucie Johnston's first band backed up by Steve Ludwins remarkable voice. It is good to see that Ludwin has moved on to better thing since his former band "Carrie" split. This song has enough pop power to get into the charts and change the regular material that you find in the British charts sound like, but don't be fooled by the melody the lyrics have a hidden perverseness.
