War of Art - did I like it?, 5 Oct. 2012
This book was recommended to me by an actress friend. First, great that it was available, as Foyles had said it was out of print and also only ever published in America!
Essentially it's about the discipline of the creative process: you have to just sit down and do it - or be in whatever physical position your art requires. And that's the message. The author takes a while, and a number of iterations, to say it - but if he didn't, then it wouldn't be a book! There are three good quotes/jokes in it, some great lines and a lot of padding. But it's worth the money and the time to read through. xx
