Excellent. Another worthy instalment in an epic series. This book can be read as a standalone but I'd strongly recommend you read the series in order starting at book one. You won't regret it. Engaging and thought provoking as well as entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous post-apocalypse series!!, 29 Jan. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A superb series for fans of post-apocalyptic fiction or Walking Dead type zombie novels. Worth reading the series in order and the kindle versions offer particularly good value.

It's also worth registering with the author's mailing list as you get to hear about the next instalment as soon as it's ready. A great author and a great series. Highly recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars After using 3 of these, every one leaks - awful design, 28 Sept. 2016
These leak. Ive tried three of them and the design is awful. The leaks are from the air hole mainly and when any clothing touches the air hole it leaches the juice out the vape. Lay in on its side, it leaks. Simply impractical. I have replaced mine with an Aspire Atlantis 2 and I'm back to 'leak free' vaping. I can't believe more people haven't noticed but it in a web search the leaks are talked about quite frequently. I wish I'd have known this before persevering with a badly designed tank.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, as always! 8 book 'addictive' series, 16 April 2016
If you haven't already devoured books 1-7 of 'Surviving the Evacuation' series I'd definitely recommend them. Fast paced with strong character development, you won't stop until you have ploughed through this fabulous series. Book 8 is told from a slightly different perspective and you won't be disappointed. Fairly short books for a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth changing from previous Eleaf iSticks, palm sized and easily pocket sized!, 14 April 2016
Updraded to this small new vape from an Eleaf iStick 60 with temperature control, mainly for reasons of portability. It's superb.

Firstly, throw the battery that's included with the pack in the dustbin and buy a decent Efest 18650 3500 lithium which are around £15 for a pair, yes a pair. You only need one at a time but the other can be a spare if you have a separate charger. I use 4 batteries: one in the vape, one as a spare to carry with me. Even with fairly heavy vaping at between 8ml and 10ml a day I can get almost exactly 24hours vaping out of one battery. No more running around with a USB lead plugged into every device.

The Melo 3 tank is meant to be an upgrade from the Melo 2 which both hold around 4.5ml of juice. The new Melo 3 is a touch longer than the Melo 2 and after trying it on this new palm size vape I went straight back to the Melo 2 which fits snugly on this device. I changed back for two reasons: firstly I found the 3 a little harsh compared with the 2 which is a smooth tasting tank and it's super-reliable. Secondly, the new Melo 3 hasn't got a top-fill opening hatch, you need to unscrew the top of the tank under the drip tip and refill the juice by pouring straight into the tank. Personally, I found this a little messy and far more time consuming that the top fill slider on the Melo 2 which takes mere seconds to refill with no mess or leakage whatsoever.

The size of this, coupled with the Melo 2 (or 3 which comes as standard) is superb. Pocket sized, fits in a shirt of jeans pocket and is far more discreet than previous iSticks. For me, the Melo 2 and Pico combination is perfect. Tasty vaping, large clouds, excellent battery life once upgraded to a decent lithium battery and it looks smart and well made. Well worth the wait and there's so much to like about a Pico / Melo combination vape.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth upgrading from 3000mah, 6 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After using the Efest 3000mah nickel batteries I decided to upgrade these 'new for 2016' lithium 3500mah. I now get a full day of vaping instead of 3/4 of a day, and these are apparently safer and less likely to overcharge. I also went for the Efest twin charger which charges these lithiums in less than two hours. A worthy upgrade for the price, and for peace of mind as far as over-charging is concerned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tremendous!, 15 Feb. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Upgraded from the pen type E-cig and its that good I've bought a second one as a spare. Battery lasts a full day and the tank is easily big enough for a full day of fairly heavy vaping. I've not used the temperature control and have mine at 30w with the lowest temperature. The temp seems a little gimmicky but the unit itself is solid, easy to use, reliable and the coils are available on Amazon for around £2.50 each. Mine last between a week and two weeks which means they're pennies and a breeze to change.

Don't be put off by thinking these bigger capes are complicated. They're very straightforward and you just need some coils (some are included in the pack) and a decent 3000ma battery which is around £15 for a very good one, here on Amazon.

Changing the wattage means you can vary the intensity of the vape. Personally, I like a smooth vape and run this unit on a fairly low wattage setting. Digital display, so you can see exactly what setting you're on. Best vape I've come across, by far.

1.0 out of 5 stars How did this ever get released? Awful movie, 8 Nov. 2015

This review is from: A Most Violent Year (Blu-ray)
Probably the worst two hours I have spent in a while. And I'll never get in back. This movie is junk and nothing whatsoever happens. The only likeable thing about the movie is the impressive 80s styling and backdrops.

Hannibal: Fields of Blood (Hannibal 2)
Hannibal: Fields of Blood (Hannibal 2)
by Ben Kane
Edition: Paperback
Price: £6.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Book 2 in a fabulous trilogy!, 30 Sept. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
All three books in this series are now available and after finishing the third one yesterday I can wholeheartedly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of historical fiction.

If you're in any doubt, go and buy all three. You won't regret it. Over 1200 pages (400+ each) of thrilling and engaging storylines with characters you feel a real attachment to. Mighty Carthage humbles Rome's legions under Hannibal's expert leadership and the author perfectly captures the sights, smells and gritty realism you expect only from the very best historical fiction writers. The battle scenes are glorious and they almost make you feel like reaching for your gladius!

One of the best trilogies I've ever read and money well spent.
