Well worth a purchase, 2 Sept. 2009
As an avid fan of Morrissey and The Smiths I have had much mickey taking from my wife about the number of books etc that I own about the legend that is Morrissey. This however contains a wealth of information that I was unaware of and is really worth a purchase. Simon Goddard has researched his subject in intricate detail and covers just about every aspect that you can think of. Goddard is not beyond criticism of Morrissey where appropriate and the only critcisim I would have is that some of the entries about films/actors/singers cited by Moz as influences can sometimes verge on the tedious.
In summary a book you can read in order or alternatively dip into as and when you want /need - well done Simon!
