Good luck to him and all but I knew him at school and he was a complete roaster. That's not even him on the cover. What a swizz! I want my money back, Damon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Joe Satriani on Crack!, 30 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
To those not in the know, this is, of course, a cover version of Joe Satriani's other-worldly instrumental Crystal Planet from the album of the same name. Joe's version is Joe's version; emotive melodies, creative tapping, electronic flourishes and that unmistakeable Satriani sauce. Get ready to hear a version of Crystal Planet from the future from the fingertips of Mr Angel Vivaldi. Despite this being a Joe Satriani track, I feel it was somehow written for Angel (the song is based in the key of Bmin, Angel plays 7-string guitar, the low note of which is a testosterone-soaked low B). Dan Sugarman also has incredible chops; him and Angel trade solos and licks like they're two G3 veterans. If you're a fan of instrumental guitar, tech metal and just good old raw talent, you gotta buy everything from this kid. Hope he tours UK soon. 10/10!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vivaldi's Four Seasons, 25 Mar. 2016

This review is from: Universal Language (MP3 Download)
Everyone needs to watch out for Angel Vivaldi. I recently snapped this album up and it has become my favourite instrumental release of recent times. It truly is a Four Seasons for the 21st century. Heavy, melodic, crushing guitars and odd-metered, complex-yet-groovy rhythms make this a jaw-dropping release. For fans of Animals As Leaders, Vai, et al.

Are You Ready?: Written by Harold Camping, 1993 Edition, Publisher: Vantage Pr [Paperback]
by Harold Camping
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Are You Ready......, 22 Dec. 2015
...TO ROCK???! This is the question posed by the amazing Harold Camping upon opening this marvelous volume of heavy metal excess. Mr Camping was, of course, the guitar player in Mott The Hoople from 1974 to 1981 and has some wild tales of rock debauchery to tell in the pages of this crazy rock memoir. Sleepless, cocaine-fuelled weeks with Mick Jagger and James Brown? Check. Lobbing pianos off the roof of the Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas, at 5am every morning for three years? Check. Drinking aftershave once the booze had ran out? Check? Snorting raw meat? Check. I really don't want to spoil it for you, just go read the damn book and laugh, as I did, loudly and heartily. Highlights for me were the one about being crucified by Keith Moon and smeared in ketchup, and the time he shaved Ozzy Osbourne's lion and told everyone he'd dscovered a new species. Classic! Harold Camping IS rock n' roll. Pure and simple.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1994 - A Comprehensive Analysis of Star Wars 17 Years On, 22 Dec. 2015
This review is from: 1994 (Paperback)
Mr Camping's work '1994? - A Comprehensive Analysis of Star Wars 17 Years On?' is exquisite and a riveting read. His breakdown and explanation of the complex interplay between the Galactic Senate, The Jedi Order and The Empire will keep you turning pages at the rate of 12 parsecs per page (the speed at which the Millenium Falcon made the Kessel run, as Mr Campaign accurately states on page 72.) Also, if you happen to be a fan of Boba Fet, you're in luck. Mr Camping dissects the entire Fet family tree, laying bare its entire genealogy and tracing his ancestors back to ancient pre-Jabba times. A real treat! Mr Camping's section on Lightsabers is a particular favourite of mine. His discussion on the religious and spiritual significance of blue/red lightsabers choice is about as intellectually stimulating as a conversation with a protocol Droid. Don't delay, add this sterling volume to your collection and may the force be with you!

EXOSKELETON - A Novel

5.0 out of 5 stars Exo-lent first novel, 30 Sept. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I picked Exoskeleton up on a whim; I saw a link on Facebook and discovered it was £0.99p from Amazon with a bunch of decent reviews. I was gripped from page 1. In recent years, I haven't really read much fiction, instead preferring biographies. Exoskeleton REALLY made me care about fiction once more. This is the author's first book and it is an absolute win. The very brutal, medical aspects of Will Thompson's 'Compressed Punishment' sentence will nauseate you. Queasy and light-headed, I had to put away my Kindle one morning on my train to work as I read some of the very graphic descriptions of the dental 'treatment' he had to endure. Exoskeleton raises a lot of questions and makes the reader question guilt, innocence, revenge, responsibility and repercussion. A riveting read. 10/10.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Taken P!ss, 22 Sept. 2015
Grinding and farming at its most cutting-edge. Truly terrible loot system as always (just wait til you try the new Three of Coins system for exotic engrams...) Looking for a specific weapon? Don't, because your pals will all get it and you'll be left with a turkey. Another year at the mercy of RNG. Awesome. And I'm actually a FAN of Destiny! Seriously considering quitting to go play a game that doesn't hate me or make me do the same things four times a week for no rewards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for use with PS4, 17 Sept. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very sleek, aesthetic TV intended for use in my gaming man-cave. I'm using this with a PS4; I noticed a few questions asking if this TV is good for gaming and I can definitely say yes, it is. VERY good. Once you tweak the usual picture settings, your PS4 home screen really pops. If, like me, you're really a fan of the look of LED TVs, you will love this product. Destiny: The Taken King looks dreamlike; the colours are crisp with beatifully black blacks and sharp, bright colours. The Cosmodrome never looked so good! A total snip at just over £200 if you ask me. Very happy. If you're looking for a TV specifically for console use, look no further.
