4.0 out of 5 stars Good game but glitchy, 26 Oct. 2007
I was not sure what this game would be like as a lot of the reveiws have been quite bad. However I deicided to give the game a chance and I'm really enjoying it. As said previously you have to give it at least a few hours before making a judgement.
On the minus side, it does have a few bugs and glitches which can hinder game play - the main one being that the screen tends to freeze quite a bit which can be particulary frustrating in fights - however I turned my HD TV down to 480 and this helped a lot. The Map/Quest log can also be confusing and I feel there should have been more of a training mode in the beginning to introduce you to everything as I was constantly referring to the manual at the start. The graphics are ok but the voiceovers are terribe!
On the plus side, this is a very involved game with a main quest and loads of side quests picked up from various locations. The map is huge and I enjoy the free roaming of doing things when you want to. The looting is also good and I like the way you can stack two of the same item to make it one better item.
If you can overlook the bugs, this is a really good addictive game which will keep you coming back, but they should have fixed the bugs first before releasing it.
I would reccommend waiting for the patch to come out and then buy this game!

3.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable game, 12 Jun. 2007
I wasn't sure what to expect with this game but it's actually really good once you get into it. The game is broken down into 3 parts of the Star Trek era and you have 3 difficulty levels to choose from. You can also choose which ships to buy which change as you progress through the game.

I enjoyed the campaign story mode and felt it had good variety on each mission to keep me interested. I also enjoyed the combat system and that you can repair your ships when they get damaged in battle.

My only complaint would be that the control system is a bit difficult to get to grips with at first.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game and think it is well worth buying especially now it is at a cheap price.

4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable game, 29 May 2007
This a good game with a similar concept to Spiderman 2 which worked very well. There is lots to keep you busy with the main missions, races, token collecting and the addition of bomb/comabt tours, sky diving and the arena. It is also free roaming so you can do things as and when you want to which I really like. The missions are varied and some are challenging including a far few boss fights and there is also the addition of buttton sequences which need to be done at random times in the game. These can be annoying but the game is very forgiving with check points which helps.

My only complaint of this game is the amount of glitches there are, although they generally do not hinder gameplay, and the bad camera movement. Regardless of these issues, I still found this a very enjoyable and addictive game.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best yet!, 3 Jan. 2007
This is a brilliant and very addicitve game which is the same concept as X-Men Legends I and II but instead you can choose from a selection of Marvel characters including Spiderman, Thor, Captin America and Fantastic Four to name but a few. The XBOX 360 version also has 2 additional unlockable characters to play.

The story is based around you destroying Doom and his allies who are trying to take over the world. There are some good cut scenes and the missions you complete or not throughout will affect your outcome at the end of the game.

You still have the choice of any combination of 4 characters to level up for your team. The Comic Missions also appear again in this game which can be very challenging.

There is loads of replayability in this game as there are lots of things to unlock including a hard mode, costumes, Comic Missions and like Legends you can carry the stats over to a new game.

This is a brilliant RPG and if you enjoyed X-Men legends you will definately enjoy this!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Excellent RPG in the series!, 24 Oct. 2006
Digital Davil Saga is another brilliant RPG in this series which I have again got addicted to! You play as the head of your Tribe - Serph - in the Junkyard. You and your tribe follow the story as to why you have now all become part demons with lots of fighting along the way. There are 5 characters to control and you have to decide what skills you wish them to learn with Mantras.

The story is brilliant and the ending has a bit of a cliffhanger as this is the first of a two part game. The game takes about 30-40 hours to play depending if you do the side quests etc. When you play the game over again all your previous mastered mantras are passed over into a new game adding good replay value.

If you liked Lucifers call, then you will definately like this. I can't wait for Digital Devil Saga 2 to be released over here! This is a superb RPG - Buy it now!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Spiderman Game, 26 Sept. 2006
This is a good game and I liked the idea of also switching to Venom for some missions as he is fun to play. In the game you have to complete missions which are made up of generally timed chases and boss fights. I found the boss fights not too tough - you just need to use a good strategy for each one, but the timed chases can be a little frustrating at times. There are also side missions collecting tokens, timed races and and assisting citizens, similar to Spiderman 2.

The only thing I found really annoying in this game were the Human torch races which is why I'm only giving it a 4! The later races are very frustating and this ruined the game a little for me. Overall a really good game and I would recommend buying it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best RPG Ever!, 12 Sept. 2006
This is such a brilliant game. I can't recommend enough that you should buy this if you are into RPG's.

This is one of the longest games I have ever played and there is so much to do! The story is brilliant and the choices you make decide how things will end. There is a wide range of different demons that you can recruit and you can also fuse them into different demons which is really cool and they all have their own unique skills. The boss fights are also really challenging (There are loads!) and only a good strategy will normally get you through. There is so much to keep you interested!

This has amazing replay value as well as you can use different demons and have a different build for yourself on your next run through - there is also a choice to play on hard mode. BUY THIS GAME!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Average Game, 12 Sept. 2006
This is an ok game but it is way too short (I completed it in a few days)and there is no replay value once you have completed it. You play with 3 of the X-men characters - Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler on various missions. Nightcrawler is by far the best character to play but you are assigned a character for each mission. There is a story throughout but I didn't think much of the style of the cut scenes they used - kind of slow moving still frames.

The game isn't too difficult but there really is not enough to keep you that interested especially when you have completed the game as all you really unlock is extra costumes.

Get this game if it is cheap but there is better out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Resident Evil Game ever!, 24 April 2006
This is one of the best games I have ever played on the PS2. I've played all the Resident Evil games which are all very good, but this is by far the best. This game was a christmas present and I have to be honest and say that I am still playing it and it's now the end of April!!

The game has a main story mode where you play the character Leon and you have to rescue the president's daughter, Ashley who joins you along the way. You also have to protect her at times which can make things interesting. You get to kill some very varied and challenging enemies along the way and the bosses all require different strategies to kill them.

What is good about this game is that there are many strategies you can use to complete the game, making each playthrough different. There are also 3 game modes available - easy, normal and professional.

You also get 3 side games - Assignent Ada (Mini Mission), Seperate Ways (Relates to the main story) and Mercenaries (Get high scores within a time limit) which are also all brillinat.

The game has excellent replay value as completeing the game/side games unlocks extra weapons and costumes. You can also carry weapons etc over to a new game.

This game is a MUST HAVE for any collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad Stephen King film, 24 April 2006
This is a good Stephen King film although not one of his best.

The film is about a store which opens in the town of Castle Rock and the strange owner who sells the residents things that they think they need. In return he persuades them to perform pranks on their fellow residents which have deadly consequences. The story then battles good over evil with the sheriff trying to save the day.

This film is definately worth a look but it's probably better to rent than buy first.
