Price: £49.99

2.0 out of 5 stars Whats going on with deliveries?, 16 Jun. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I cant review item again as it arrived faulty, to put it clearly there were some loose components in the electronics compartment.
Box was pretty much undamaged or bruised, but upon removing it from box, the rattling of small parts in the electronic compartment became apparent and thus not inspiring much confidence in plugging it to outlet.

However Dawsons was exceptional and made the return simple and easy. Dawsons were excellent and remarkable, better than Amazon (as of late) hands down.

5.0 out of 5 stars BLACK VINYL FAUX LEATHER - Great for repairs or, 14 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This was re-upholstering my computer chair arms. After some years Cat claws and wear and tear it was looking quite nasty, so intead of buying a whole new computer chair I thought this was a good and affordable alternative.

This is standard FAUX LEATHER quality and there is enough left to redo many many of the chairs arms.

Not expensive either so good affordable amount for the amount provided.

1.0 out of 5 stars The right part but pur together badly at factory., 14 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This was just what I was looking for to replace my existing ones on my computer desk its really extremely hard to find anything of that sort to replace existing ones.

The general build quality was great but there is a big huge but.

The shelf tabs where keyboard shelf would sit dont match the opposite side so one side is correct bottom and other is top (wrong)
At first I thought this was two same sides sent by mistake, but on closer examination taking in consideration the direction of pull out plus how these fit into desk itself, you soon realize the left hand side one on picture I attach was assembled wrong and with wrong part at factory.

This was extremely disappointing because as I initially said, finding something to replace existing is really extremely hard to near impossible to find.

Returning these(as it was last pair in stock) is looking not so straight forward, seems the retailer doesn't answer emails on Saturday or as quickly as one would expect (I was still hoping for some sort of miracle solution), they asked for pictures when I initially contacted them reporting the problem and asking for a return label. Sent pictures at 16.21 Friday and no reply thus far to any resolution or anything,

Lets hope this doesn't turn into a head ache.

4.0 out of 5 stars VYTRONIX VTBC01 1400w - Excellent suction and good build quality., 14 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Well this is certainly a compact vacuum and does indeed fit the description well.

First thing out of the box, was to see how easy the dust tank comes apart, this process was simple to complete and put back together.
Then tested the cord and cord extension.

Aesthetics are great, you cant go wrong with black and orange really, this looks the part.

The cord isn't too long, just long enough for a small room, it seems above 800/900W power you cant get anything with a long cord.
The cord retraction mechanism jI wonder if it needs breaking in, on initial test it wont pull the cable all way in and leaves around 80cm out that must be pushed in manually.
The cord mechanism button and power button are maybe slightly too tight fitting and it interferes sometimes with turning ON/OFF and pulling cord in, but its not a terrible thing, it works.

Suction wise it does not disappoint, even large rugs come away from floor with suction and for 1400W it better not either. Will be keeping an eye on suction loss etc. and making sure the whole filter system is maintained, simply emptying the dust tank is not good enough as I imaging some people wont bother dismantling the whole thing regularly something I recommend people not to ignore so suction quality is maintained.

The black corrugated hose seems a little taut, usually these tend to crack after a while, only time will tell really.

Everything else seems OK the carpet attachment, crevasse tool, and curtain attachment are pretty much standard except for the telescopic extension but this seems of good quality and operates normally and smoothly.

All around an excellent little vacuum for the price so if you are looking for a small powerful and affordable vacuum this is the one for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pifco P28036 Rechargeable makes for a cheap and flimsy not very good sucker., 10 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This low rating is to reflect my short lived bad experience with the item.

It was damaged out of the box, the filter holder was loose inside the dust container, upon closer inspection the filter holder had one of the flaps broken (this filter holder, twist locks into place using the two flaps)

These things can happen, but my low rating isnt solely based on that broken flap. I tested the vacuum briefly and the suction is quite disappointing comparing to the product it is meant to replace.
The build also feels quite cheap and flimsy for a £67 pound product that is replacing a 10 year old £14.99 product that was a true powerful sucker, this isn't really a good aspect of this product for the price.

So unless you're wanting a secondary product to do extremely light work in between using your main vacuum, this really isnt for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars StarTech.com SATA to LP4 Power Cable Adapter - Killing LP4 Molex plugs,, 8 Mar. 2017
This little adapter saved me a whole PSU to Molex cable with some 5 molex plugs just to connect one device.

In 2017 case manufacturers should already not use Molex plugs on their cases or fans, but there we are.

Its of a good build quality well finished, from a well established and trusted Company that is Startech.

thumbs up, recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars Orico USB 3.0 Card reader GL3220 From Genesys Logic -- Its a lemon., 8 Mar. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
JUst a quick update, Orico themselves, dont sell this item directly, this could mean nothing of course, but I find this weird to say the least.
Orico are friendly and prompt in their contact via Amazon, but dont expect any support from them regarding issues with this Orico card reader, they will provide you with no support whatsoever.

Speaking of contact with Orico, theire support email on website, they dont reply at all, as a matter of course, You allow 48 hours for standard replies, but after 4 days they are yet to reply, thus I contacted them via Amazon, but like I said, they will provide you no support whatsoever.

So here you are, a faulty product and if it goes wrong, you will be left hanging with a lemon unless the retailer helps you which many wont after some time. So return it as soon as it behaves badly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is my second 3.5" USB 3.0 card reader in as many weeks. OK This is my first Orico 3.5" USB 3.0 Card reader, but this is by far the most problematic device yet.

1st The device is not recognised in UEFI bios it simply says device 547 (547 is the firmware version) Orico have no newer updated for this, but there is an update in the wild for Firmware version 579, not that it matters because the device is unrecognised both in Bios or OS.

2nd Installing the card reader on Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit is a problem, due to Any OS failing to recognise this device properly, maybe because its faulty or maybe because its the Genesys Logic Chipset, I have no idea. All I know is, this should be easy and simple, not convoluted and taking hours.

After seating and re-seating the USB 3.0 header on motherboard some 15 times or more after some 4 hours, the device was still coming as Unknown device in device manager (windows side both flavours). Then it wouldn't load the Genesys Logic drivers, simply refused.
Eventually after much fiddling now going onto 6 hours (most of the morning and into 4 o'clock) The device gets recognised (HURRAH right, nope) and managed to install the proper drivers.

3rd After FINALLY installing the right drivers (Microsoft drivers plug-and-play first then Genesys after), and rebooting PC it wouldnt load the Windows I chose from bootloader (where device was installed, not even Linux liked it, took some 20 minutes to boot into Linux. WIndows I gave up waiting some booted to a black screen.. I think it booted to a black screen, but maybe it dindt, at this stage I couldnt care less.

Unplugged device and any OS loaded in seconds from SSD ;) So clearly this is another waste of raw materials and my time and effort.

I would give this MINUS 5 stars, (yes you read it right),

Not only that but I ordered this on Friday 3rd March and it was stuck on waiting to dispatch for 2.5 days. 4 different Amazon reps had 4 different excuses for what the reasons maybe, one even said they had no stock, while EASYLINK (whom I emailed and were exceptional and prompt) told me Amazon had 80 Units at that time waiting in stock, ready to fill orders!!

Its possible that I just received a faulty device, but judging by the reviews here, clearly there's an issue, I plainly and simply refuse to get on that merry-go-round.

Returned for refund as faulty and wont bother with these USB 3.0 card readers I have some ancient RealteK usb 2.0 some 8 years old that works just fine and also reads sim cards. I would invest on another Realtek Chipset crad reader, but these Genesys Logic they all have severe issues and many of these USB 3.0 are Genesys Logic chipsets.

Stay away form this lemon

2.0 out of 5 stars Dell, the best design + marketing gimmicks + terrible support = ;( stay away from Dell., 8 Mar. 2017
I bought two of these directly from Dell at a excellent price of £329.99 + free next day shipping.. And paid extra for 5 Years Advanced Exchange Service.

I asked Dell on Live Chat how much of a colour difference I could expect from the two monitors, since they are right next to each other, the reply was simply, "Be assured you are getting the best possible quality panels".

They arrived next day as advertised.

First they are 100% easy to assemble to stand, they have a clip to back of panel to connect to arm and one thumb screw to screw arm to base.

The design is striking, Dell outdo themselves on design its simply hard to beat, with 0 frame on sides and top, you get absolutely minimum in between two screens side by side, perfect right?
The touch controls are a bit fiddly, there are no easy to spot visual indicators were sensors are for the touch controls, so you need to hope for the best, but they work just fine.

The OSD software is impressive, and well laid out easy to navigate and make changes to.

The IPS glow on these was impressively low, really the best Ive seen on IPS panels.

But thats as far as all the good things go about these panels.

1st the colours grey and white were not grey and white on one panel, the grey was somewhat greenish and the white somewhat yellowish, the other monitor was perfect for about two days and then the perfect greys went the way of the other monitor.
I upgraded the firmware on both panels and even X-Rite i1Display Pro calibration designed for these panels, simply did little to correct these aberrations. Simply not satisfactory for what Dell advertise and what they actually are.

2nd If you initiate a RMA, Dell support need 1 month before getting proper authorization, they need to get 2 levels of authorization before the ball stars rolling, then you will get 2nd hand refurbished monitors, not new... This is bad because when monitors are 2 days old, you paid for new, you want new no matter if you paid extra for the 4 year top of the line warranty...

3rd When you realize you better return the product for refund, They get the products back and refuse to refund you the money, they say they do, but took 1,5 months months and many letters to bank to get the refund done.

I was a Dell Customer for 20 years plus, until 8 years ago I decided never to bother with buying Dell ever again due to the shenanigans Indian support put you through, they flat out disregard your consumer rights and their own contractual obligations, I thought maybe they had improved, but, as it turns out, I was wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cooler Master MasterLiquid Pro 240 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - The best in class customer support/service., 3 Mar. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I purchased the Cooler Master MasterLiquid Pro 240 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler 240mm Radiator, to replace a Corsair H100i V2 I originally bought for an Asus TUF mark 1 + Intel i7-7700K - 32GB ram system I built.

The failure of Corsair is described here in my review here https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R2XP8HH4PL91KZ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B019EXSSBG

The Cooler Master MasterLiquid Pro 240 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler 240mm Radiator, purchased and dispatched by Amazon arrived, it was the old model with the corrugated hoses, and I preferred the newer model, Amazon just said if it is not, send it back for refund, which is fair enough. But I went a different way with this, and contacted Cooler Master via Live Chat on their FANZONE (Requires account/Login).

Cooler Master representatives are the most friendly and helpful Ive come across from any peripheral or PC equipment manufacturer and provide the best in class (in fact they are so fantastically great, they are in a league of their own). I explained I wanted the new model since it performs better than old model due to wider hoses and also look better, but the main issue was performance.

Cooler Master offered to replace the item for a new Model (and brand new item) for no extra charge, and so they did.

I received the older model from Amazon on Monday and on Wednesday same week, the replacement was delivered and they collected the older model at own expense via UPS.

If that is not truly excellent service and support, I dont know what is.

Now for the actual product review.

This liquid cooler looks the part and is well built, the radiator is striking with the square fin design, the hoses are wide and have a nylon sleeve. The fact that it has hoses on either side of the pump is different, but it is also different that the fixtures pipe to pump arent fixed, they have some movement which ultimately once assembled the pipes are under no stress whatsoever.

As I never assembled one of these before, I took my time and it went OK, they key is to make sure you are putting the brackets onto the pump the right way around. Assembly was a piece of cake, no parts were missing, no odd gaps between back plate and PUMP and everything plugged into motherboard with no need for any extension cables. EXCELLENT.

Assembling the fans onto the radiator is done by sandwiching a vibration absorber rectangular shaped frame where the fans fit into, this works well and it well thought of.

The Asus TUF Mark 1, has a dedicated PUMP 4 pin header, and the Cooler Master's MasterLiquid Pro 240 PUMP, plugs into here.
The PUMP is designed to run at full speed which is around 9300 RPM +/- and it is silent, so silent in fact you need to hold one of the pipes gently to feel the liquid zooming inside.

The CPU runs at 76 Celsius under 100% load and over-clocked to 4800MHZ and it runs at 25 Celsius on idle. Cant get fairer than this.
I used Artic Silver 5 as thermal paste.

In conclusion, while there maybe better liquid coolers out there, the fact remains this works, simply does its job, is silent and doesnt cost a bundle, if you take into account the piece of mind, knowing that Cooler Master's are there for you, are fast friendly and deal with any issues without any delays or fuss, this is a golden combination, no one should dispense with.

The only downside is that the LED is blue on the pump and that you cant turn it off, but this is not the end of the world, for windowless cases like I have but would be easily fixed by using some coloured filter sheets like https://www.amazon.co.uk/HQ-Power-VDL25CS-Coloured-Filter/dp/B002N59NYY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488546328&sr=8-1&keywords=coloured+filters and some imagination.

Love it, its hard for me to go 5 stars on most reviews, but this one easily deserves a 10 star review.
