4.0 out of 5 stars Tasty bit of horror, 13 Feb. 2015
First let me say I'm not a massive fan of short stories, but also be aware that although amazon states that this book is only 17 pages don't let that put you off as the print is smallish and there is actually more here than you realize. Right that said I really enjoyed this little gem nice and scary and certain to have you looking under the bed tonight. These shorts by Iain will probably end up in a book together but for 99p who can argue. I'm also wondering what the letter C will bring as this is the second in his a to z of horror. Anyway worth a read and back to what he does best, providing chills!

3.0 out of 5 stars Short but not so sweet, 30 Dec. 2014

I'm not much of a fan of short stories so am a little biased with this review. The story itself was good but....well short. I always find shorts either rushed or end too suddenly with no pay off. It's always going to be entertaining with Iain Rob Wright at least you know that but I prefer his novels. If you enjoy a good short blast of horror then this won't disappoint

4.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed this short story, 20 Dec. 2014

I really enjoyed this short story, problem is i always want more (im not the greatest fan of short fiction). I love the way Iain connects his stories with characters from previous works.
Check out his other stuff and see what i mean, and as a fan i would also suggest getting that personal touch by buying an autographed copy of your fav book of his here: http://iainrobwright.ecwid.com/#!/Signed-Books/c/11290973/offset=0&sort=normal

Great author, and a thoroughly nice guy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creepy and frightning, 19 Nov. 2014
Another winner from Iain Rob Wright. A fantastically creepy story about a picture frame that is more than it seems. Blake and his ten year old son are out with their metal detector when they come across an old picture frame in a sack with some bones. His son keeps the frame and puts a photo of his dog in it, soon after the dog meets an awful fate. Shortly Blakes family experience further bad luck and tragedy, is this just bad luck or is it connected with the frame, soon it becomes a race to find out the frames history before its too late.
Great story just couldnt put it down, could well be Iains best novel so far, buy it judge for yourself but be warned read with the lights on!

Ketchup on Everything

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little book, 20 Sept. 2014

Ketchup with everything gives nothing away with the title and i went into it not knowing anything about it. It started as a story about a father searching for his missing son and that alone made a very well written story but about half way through the story took an unexpected and bloody turn, just wow, completely out of the blue the story took on a totally different dynamic.
Read it in one day (its not a lengthy book) but also not a wasted word, great story, sad, horrific and very original.
Loved it....just buy it, read and enjoy :)

5.0 out of 5 stars A killer story!, 6 Sept. 2014

Ian Woodhead is one of those authors you know will never let you down. You want horror and gore then this is your man. If you are not familiar with his work then i would liken him to authors like Graham Masterton, James Herbert and Shaun Hutson.
Probably of the goriest and nastiest horror stories Ian has written, The cover itself is enough to give you chills, cleverly playing with words in a change from his usual style the story drags you into a world of pain and fear.
A wonderful read and a good introduction to his works if you are new to him. A killer story in more ways than one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely top notch!, 20 Mar. 2014

This is the follow up to the brilliant Ravage (you can read this as a stand alone novel but treat yourself and get Ravage as well)
Iain has once again raised the bar and produced another brilliant Horror/ Thriller. There are zombies, but i feel they are secondary in this superb character based horror about groups of survivors from the first novel and new characters to love and hate.
There are references to his other works, but the thrills and spills come quick and fast, expect a few shocks and as always an engrossing story from an author who is fast becoming the best in his genre!
The story is set on a pier where a group of survivors have made their home, outside the threat of the dead but the biggest threat is coming from the sea, and as always in life its humans who prove to be the most evil and not as you would expect the zombies.
Iain thank you for yet another great read and taking me on a totally different route to which i expected.
Great book, loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful surprise, 2 Feb. 2014

I bought this book without knowing anything about it and was blown away by it. It contains a character `Rooster` who is one of the most brutal sadistic characters ive ever read about.
A terrific horror story that my only complaint about is that it is too short! Just over 200 pages left me wanting more. I would say the zombies are secondary in this terrific character driven novel, the real horror comes from the people who are `alive` this is not your run of the mill zombie novel so dont pass it up if you are not a zombie fan. Its a fantastic story in itself
Overall a terrific but brutal read.....more please!

The latest short story from two great authors (42 pages). This smashing little thriller introduces Sarah Stone who will be the subject of a series of thrillers by Iain Rob Wright. Rarely do you get a short story with so many thrills action and laughs. Im not usually a fan of short stories but with two great authors like these it was worth a look. So glad i did, and cannot wait for the full length novels by Iain. And of course the story has the style of Konrath and his well known character Jack Daniels. Both Daniels and Stone end up with trouble on a plane and team up to fight the terror that follows. If you love Konrath or Wright then get it now, if you havent yet read any of their works then, why not!! Loved it.
