2.0 out of 5 stars My most recent TT LEGO Game purchase and most disappointing GAME..., 15 April 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: LEGO The Hobbit (PS4) (Video Game)
This is my most recent purchase of the LEGO games and the most disappointing one at that. As I can't give two and a half stars, this one unfortunately will have to do with TWO out of FIVE.
There is a lot of gameplay and mini games for a lots of hours, especially if you are a GAMER and want to achieve a 100% score. Unfortunately this is a game by a game developer that does not care too much about bugs in their games; truth be told they release two to three LEGO games a year, and they probably don't have a lot of time. This game is somewhat buggy which does not allow for a 100% completion.
The game itself, in its first Story Mode run will only take you 12 hours maximum, and this is not by running through the level just to complete it.

If you are a fan of The Lord of the Ring movies and The Hobbis too and obviously a LEGO-fan it is a must buy. The game is fun in its own genre.
Has a lot of gameplay if you play each level multiple times to get all the different collectables and trophies. Though, as someone who has all the different LEGO games by TT Games, this is the weakest of them all. If you are on the ledge between this title, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and The LEGO Movie Videogame, get the latter one as it is much more fun for the whole family (I would not allow my kids (under 8) to play LEGO: The Hobbit game).

Graphics are the same over all consoles, I started with XBOX360 and bought a PS4 last year. I played The LEGO Movie Videogame, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and this title, and the graphics are not better or worse compared to an 'older' console. Don't upgrade your console for this type of game.
Something that was astonishing are the loading times, before and after you complete a level and especially with fast travel.
There are, as with all LEGO games a lot of characters to unlock, but and this was problem already with LEGO Marvel Super Heroes that you could not figure out which character you needed for what action. There are too many different special moves and they are not explained, even difficult to understand when you have played and 100% completed every single LEGO game to date.

As I mentioned I am very disappointed in this game and this will make me more cautious when purchasing another TT LEGO Game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for storage... especially CARCASSONNE and its expansions, 25 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this to store Carcassonne and all its additions/expansions; it came recommended on The Board Game Geek.
The quality is great. Feels sturdy and definitely not cheap.
The latches are easy to open, but won't open by themselves. They would even allow for a padlock of some sorts.
The handle feels good when carrying (though there is not that much weight in mine).
The tray is helpful to store items that won't fit (or are too bulky) and is stable enough as long as there isn't anything in it that is too heavy.
It will allow you to store almost everything while keeping it all in place.

It also comes with a number of dividers, though when they are in place it is very difficult to slide them out, a bit too hard for my taste.
The dividers can only be fixed in certain (every 4 inches / 10 cm) places, which does not give a lot of flexibility when storing smaller expansions for Carcassonne. Though the fact that the dividers are it so fixed in place also means that they won't fall out immediately.
Very practical when you put stuff in (as I) that does not require a lot of changing about and will sit there for years.

2.0 out of 5 stars After a year's I will have to get a new reading light!, 2 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I love reading in bed, and when my girlfriend sleeps, I cannot have the lights on. I searched for a reading light, and this one seemed the best.
The battery is still okay, after a over a year and still very bright. The arm, which seemed the best part of this reading light works great until the moment the connection between the light and the arm gets worse by use of the arm!
Now when reading and moving the light the light flickers on and off.

I will have to get a new reading light!

3.0 out of 5 stars A must have for the COLLECTOR, 2 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This 'movie' together with Saludos Amigos and Melody Time is a must have for a Disney collector. Though when your looking for a fun kids movie, these are no longer the movies you'd show the little ones.
There are much better movies for the kids, like Brave, Up!, The Little Mermaid or Aladdin.

3.0 out of 5 stars It is similar to the LEGO games, 2 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this based on some gameplay videos I found on Youtube. Though while playing, I found that is is very similar to the LEGO games, but it would have been desirable to have a bit more levels. This compared to playing the existing levels more than 2 times to achieve all the collectables, etc.
Yes, you can buy it, though wait for a good offer!

This version is completely different from the version you might've seen on the television. If you are expecting that this is a complete let down.

2.0 out of 5 stars Open Season, everyone can be a voice artist, 18 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I ordered these two titles after the amazing Amazon deal I saw, and well buying 'Open Season 1' and getting part 2 as a bonus was actually a good deal.
Unfortunatly SONY dropped the ball completely! When watching both titles after the other one you'll notice something... the voices, and from what I can see... oops they did it again for the third movie. It is like watching Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story 1-3 Box Set [Blu-ray]) or Shrek (Shrek 1-4 Box Set [Blu-ray]) change the tone of his voice every time he speaks. Ah well...

Open Season is actually a funny title and is neatly done... Open Season 2 wasn't that bad once you filter out the changed voices, but you can actually see that SONY wanted to imitate PIXAR or DreamWorks, but it just isn't happening.

Where some sequals from the previous mentioned studios were even better then its predecessor SONY should have stayed with the one title Open Season.

This boxset is great when you can get it in a deal (keep your eyes on those Amazing Amazon Deals!), because I wouldn't advise buying Open Season 2 if you actually had to pay money for it.

Assassin's Creed II: The Complete Official Guide
Assassin's Creed II: The Complete Official Guide
by James Price
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Game Guide for Assassin's Creed, 4 July 2010
Indeed this book holds all the information you might need as a player to finish this wonderful game. It contains maps of the various locations you might visit, descriptions on the main story line and the side missions, and helps you get the setting for playing this game right; history, different moves and information about weapons and armour.

If you already have played the game and you are familiar with some of those nasty puzzles the solutions for these can also be found in this book. So whatever you need it for the book contains it all.

The only downside is that for the Assassin's Creed II DLC's no additional downloads can be made from their website to complete the information 'needed'.
