This book is great. It encourages and inspires anyone who wishes to quilt or has attempted quilting and given up because of all the strictures about accuracy. I love this book.

This book has very simple stitching projects. Mainly running stitches. Nothing more complicated than that. It is a beautiful book, and I might attempt some of the projects.

5.0 out of 5 stars Books by Jane Brocket, 30 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Jane Brocket's titles are very enticing - "The Gentle Art...." "The Gentle Art of Knitting" is a great book of easy knitting patterns, and personal anecdotes. It is a book that one can first read simply for pleasure, and then 'gently' be tempted to try the patterns.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Aid to Embroidering, 30 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book is a wonderful aid to beginner, as well as more experienced embroiderers. The introduction is comprehensive, and the stitches are very well illustrated and explained. There are also patterns that can be copied and stitched. Well worth the purchase.
