Standing in the Wings: The Beatles, Brian Epstein and Me
Standing in the Wings: The Beatles, Brian Epstein and Me
by Joe Flannery
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £17.34

3.0 out of 5 stars Emphasis on the "Me", 12 Dec. 2013
There didn't seem to be much about the Beatles-unlike the title implied. It certainly emphasised Joe's life, thus the emphasis on the "Me" part of the title.Brian didn't come off particularly well,he was portrayed as a spoilt brat.Disappointing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Should Have Known Better, 12 Dec. 2013
I've started and stopped this book barely three chapters in-I guess that's not a good sign.I wanted to get into it but just couldn't.Maybe its something you really need to be in the mood for.

Price: £12.08

4.0 out of 5 stars A juicy treat, 17 Jan. 2012
These recipes sounded very tempting-I feel motivated to get my old juicer out again which has been gathering dust for years. Some recipes require the use of a blender as well,or just the blender.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unseen Beatle photo gems, 17 July 2011
Just when you think there is nothing new to see about The Beatles, something different yet again turns up.There were some particularly candid shots of George that I hadn't seen before.

4.0 out of 5 stars The King's Speech II, 5 July 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A worthy companion to the recent Oscar winning movie "The King's Speech".It gave a thoroughly interesting account of King George VI and showed how loved and respected he was by the British public and the world. It was unfortunate that the heavy burden of being King contributed to his premature death.
