5.0 out of 5 stars a switch owners EDC battery bank, 6 Jun. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
the USB C Power Bank RAVPower 26800 is a great battery bank, was after one to power my nintendo switch and i initially bought the aukey 3000mah (PB-Y3) but that had some quirks and a definite fault (it would flash white after a full recharge and not allow use for 1 hour) also, i didnt like the fact that you had to manually power it on after device connection, with this ravpower, its just easy as pie, does what it says on the tin, it auto charges upon device insertion, charges my switch whilst playing zelda at least 9% an hour, i also had no issue with my ravpower where you allegedly have to ensure switch is in sleep before connecting, the ravpower is recognized whether on home screen, in-game or asleep, anyway. i am using usb c to usb c cord to charge switch (anker powerline+ 3ft)

5.0 out of 5 stars the hyperbolic reviews are justified for once, 23 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this is the best "video game" i have ever played - i am not a hardcore gamer, but due to my age, have played a fair few titles over many years, and this is the most solid, comprehensive, huge!! experience i have had the pleasure to immerse myself in.

having seen the abundance of 5 star reviews and praise for BOTW, i did feel as though this was potentially hyperbole from zelda/nintendo fanboys, but what other choice of game was there for us day 1 switch owners?

admittedly, even for the first few hours of play in breath of the wild, good as it was, i thought those were still very high praise reviews indeed, little did i know that the arc of the game had yet to unfurl into what it would soon become, which is nothing short of genius in my book.

i am a slow-ish player having spent a few hundred hours of play, and only just finished all of the shrines, side quests, shrine quests, memories, divine beasts, and ganon a few weeks back, my only teeny tiny gripe with the overall completion system is i am only showing 32.34% done!!

this is because i only have 122 korok seeds out of about 900 - maybe too many? :) that's a positive negative though, complaining about too much gameplay is better than saying there wasn't enough! can't wait for the DLC's

p.s. having wolf link to accompany me on my travels of hyrule was another inspired touch!

5.0 out of 5 stars but would want a better ND filter if shooting photos tbh, 18 April 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
for the money, it has to be given full stars, using it on a panny fz1000 (62mm), for video use only really, i have tried it on stills mode, but would want a better ND filter if shooting photos tbh, probably tiffen type quality/price point etc, but this £8 filter seems fine on the video i have shot, even at 4k, playback shows no noticeable issues. of course there is the oft mentioned x-pattern, but that is only when you exceed the max range of the filter (and is on most if not all filters anyway when maxing range out), inbetween the variable range it was a nice gradual transition for me, and glad i didn't drop ~£100+ for a video variable ND. p.s this even screwed into my 62mm hoya pro lens protector, pffttt.....stacking....i know! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars blown away, and it has nothing to do with the infamous scenes!, 25 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
was really blown away, and it has nothing to do with the infamous scenes - the movie is better than just that notoriety, unflinchingly candid type acting performances, a long movie but one where it didn't drag for one moment - on paper not a film i thought i would like, but one i have rated higher than most

5.0 out of 5 stars good job i waited a week to post my thoughts, 24 Nov. 2013
This review is from: Artpop [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
well when i first got this album, as i have liked lady gagas previous efforts a lot, i was greatly disappointed for the first few listens, it sounded all a bit vacuous and forced, more simplistic so to speak, but never have i had such a change in opinion around after listening several times to an album, its absolutely phenomenal and although a slightly different direction, i think it took time to adapt to what she was intending here compared with previous outings

so the lesson of my story is i mustn't judge something when i first hear it, two tracks which has been getting really heavy rotation are applause & do what u want, but there really arent any fillers also, so whole album is very good

p.s chipples, if you ever read this, let me know :)

so sad this is the last (allegedly) season, have been an avid watcher of all series, was sensible enough to never watch the us/canadian version. sarah lund is for life not just for christmas.

just had my blu ray boxset through, 40 hours to indulge in slowly, again, yes please.

1) series 1
2) series 3
3) series 2

1.0 out of 5 stars cult? it sure is, cult of wanting to end your life after watching it, 15 Oct. 2012
wow, my first ferrel lead movie. (saw him in a bitpart in wedding crashers, which he was funnier in for the ten minutes then the whole hour and half here)

like some of the other non sheep, non 5 star reviewers on here, i just cannot understand the ratings and praise this film gets, maybe if it had actually been made in the 70's instead of being set in the 70's it would be understandable as to the dated and unfunny humour, but this film seems to be just spouting out utter nonsense half the time

cult...didnt the group of people who committed mass suicide, believing they would teleport to a spaceship following the hale bop comet in 97 belong to a cult? really they should have waited 7 years and offed themselves during the first hour of anchorman

5.0 out of 5 stars bargain of the budget? headphone world, 21 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
have previously been a headphone audiophile in a different life, used to own akg k1000, grado ps1000 and sen hd 600, 800, markl modded denon d5000's, etymotic er4 etc

sold all of those a few years back as i got out of the game, so to speak

have been using an old pair of sen 555's as my daily cans for movies and gaming, music.

after 6 years use these physically broke on one of the arms the other day

researched online about bang for buck, as i only now wanted to spend upto £50, as this was an unplanned expenditure due the breakage

looked at a lot of headphone reviews in this price bracket, samson and superlux came up a lot, some often a clone of each other, settled on the superlux 662's as this time i wanted to go closed as opposed to the open sen 555's - i wasnt expecting the world at this price, obviously, but knew they offered good value from others comments / reviews

received them a few days after ordering through amazon, via AMP3 seller - ran them for 24 hours straight with isoteks small systems refresher and demagnetizer cd, just to loosen them up and get them run in a wee bit (couldnt wait longer than 24 hours)

and boy am i suprised, these are very accurate cans indeed, maybe a bit too accurate for those who like a big warm eq curve inbuilt, i fired up some flac tracks i was familiar with and gave them an airing, some nice extension on the lower frequencies, some of the upper freqs a bit harsh at first, i thought this is either the cans, or me, or both, so percevered for a few days and sure enough this has leveled out a bit, either physically or with me simply getting used to it, now they have a good even representation, still on the lean side comparitively, but i did always like clinical sounding units.

funnily enough the biggest showcase of their quality came where i was not expecting it, compared to the sen 555's (a headphone which is approximately 3-4 x the price) was playing BF3, suddenly everything had a solid thud to it, a deep reaching bass impact, even on pistol rounds, or things exploding in the distance, there was like an added dimension to every in game sound, instead of them sounding slightly crisp and short lived as before, now there was a solid, weighty impact to effects and a slight addition to the roll-off duration, what i mean is before a gunshot would resolve itself as just that, a gunshot, and be gone, now the gunshot has a high (the intial noise) and there is a longer section to it, the bass of the reverb of the after shot, which is very nicely manifested via the superluxes, its hard to explain but it gives more texture to all the sounds and makes it sound more quality all round and not so shallow and crisp - adds a weight to everything which is nice - normally music would be the area which i would see differences between cans, and there is, but here it was a pc game off all things which highlighted the superior capabilities over the much more expensive sennheisers.

am very pleased with the purchase, and now knowing these are available for £25, anytime in the future, well sennheiser have lost me as a budget headphone customer from now on, these are more in the realm of the sen 650 bracket i would suggest (from notoriously poor audio memory) - the sen 600's probably pip them (as i always did prefer the sen 600's to the 650's)

the isolation is excellent, as is the build quality, nice fat comfy pads in a leatherette type material, self adjusting band within frame type form factor, nice clamping force (not too much)

i would stick my neck out and suggest if you have less than £150-£200 to spend on a full size of closed headphones, you wont beat these. try them, i was always a bit of a brand snob, but having these superlux make me feel like i am having the last laugh :)

p.s. seeing as this review was hastily bashed out after only 3-4 days of ownership, i am hoping the usual 300 hour plus rule will yield even further refinement and settling in...
