5.0 out of 5 stars A truly enlightening book!, 25 July 2014
The authors of this book has achieved a most difficult task: talking about esoteric matters in a scientific manner. And they have done so in a way that is very easy to understand and enjoyable to follow, so much so that I finished it faster than I had ever thought I could. I just kept going from one chapter to the next until it is done.

In the first part of the book, the authors explain the Electrical Universe theory and show how electrical force is the main driving force of everything in the universe, from the forming of galaxies down to weather phenomenas such as rains, storms, etc. From that, they develop the idea that human actions are closely linked to natural disasters, i.e. mass-scale suffering plays a large part in "bringing God's wrath upon Earth". That is an idea that we all can instinctively relate to. Finally, the various threads are brought together and used to show how, with the ways things are going at the present, we are due for some major catalysmic events in the very near future, something that the ruling elites are trying their best to cover up.

In the second part, the authors attempt to answer the question: What, if any, can anyone do to mitigate that? They show scientific evidence that yes, humans can influence events with their minds. But the effects that individual persons have are so small, and they can be opposite of what is intended. The only chance that real changes can be effected is through the alignment of a sufficient number of people with Truth. It is because with such alignment, not only are the powers of individuals summed up but the resulting influence is much larger than the sum of individual parts. This is where the light bulb goes off for me. Most people have heard of the saying: "The truth shall set you free". But how? That is what is so fantastic about this book: to have such esoteric idea explained in a scientific way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading for anyone wanting to know why big corporations are what they are, 23 May 2014
This book examines in more detail a particular aspect of the psychopathy issue that is usually overlooked by the literature on the subject. It starts out by articulating the general characteristics of psychopathy and then goes into details how it manifests in companies, especially big corporations. It discusses how psychopaths can easily get into those big companies, weave their way to the top, and the damage they do in the process, both to the companies and the people working with them. The book also includes a lot of examples in the form of short stories, making it easy to read for the lay readers.

All in all, this is an excellent book and essential reading for anyone who wants to understand why big corporations are what they are.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read with vital information, 25 Dec. 2012
This is a great book packed with research and information about comet and asteroid bombardments in history, even modern history, and their impacts on humans and their society. Unlike what we are usually told by media, the threat from space is much more frequent and immediate. The comets bring with them not only physical destruction, but also diseases, wars and social disruptions on a great scale. And what happened in the past may also happen in the near future.

Apart from laying out the research about comets and their threat to humanity, Laura goes one step further and presenting some very interesting speculations based on the available data. She speculates on how psychopathy, which can be said to be the ultimate source of all problems humanity is facing, originated from comet bombardments and how psychopaths took advantage of the disruptions caused by comet bombardments to further their agenda.

Laura ends the book with the sentence: "As it was in the days of Noe..." As it was in those days, those who had the necessary knowledge survived...

1.0 out of 5 stars I regret buying this book, 20 Aug. 2012
I'm very interested in the field of psychopathology and have a fair collection of books in this area. I have bought Puzzling People based on recommendation from someone else and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The author has taken materials from other books, blogs and forums, mixed them with his own "original" ideas and presented in his own ways. The borrowed materials are sound and I can recognize most of them. But the way they are presented is very confusing.

The worst thing about the book, however, is the author's own ideas because they are very misleading and do more harm than good. The most significant misleading bit is his assertion that psychopathy does not have a genetic origin. IMO, the genetic origin of psychopathy is THE most important thing to know and deeply understand about it. He also states that once you know about psychopaths, spotting them is very easy. Sez who? Even very knowledgeable researchers such as Robert Hare say that it is extremely difficult to recognize the well-adapted psychopaths. Beleaving that you can easily spot psychopaths can only do one thing: Make you an easy victim for them.

Bottom line is: I regret buying this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent conclusion to a fantastic series, 19 May 2012
Writing years after the last book in her The Wave series, Laura has distilled the knowledge and experience that she gained in those years in this concluding book to point out the esoteric path for the readers. "The Truth shall set you free." That famous saying is known by every esoteric seekers. But what exactly is the Truth? Free from what? And how will it do so? Those are the questions that are answered in the series and especially in this book.

Combining modern research with guidance from the C's, spiritual beings that Laura has been in communication with for the last 18 years, she explains how humans are controlled by imprinting patterns in their own brains and how that is taken advantage of by hyperdimensional beings that do not have human's interests at heart to keep us imprisoned. More importantly, she explains what we can do to take back the control of ourselves. Finally, she explains the role of humans in the larger scheme of God, or the Universe, the daunting question: "What is the meaning of all this?"

Truth is Knowledge, sincerely obtained and applied. It will transform you, and set you on a path into the unknown. It will not be an easy process, but you will not regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very important book on diet and nutrition, 3 April 2012
In the last few years, low-carbohydrate diet has gradually been gaining acceptance among the public. There have been numerous books and articles proving the benefits of a low-carb diet and debunking the current low-fat dogma. However, most of them have been focusing on the WHY of low-carb diet, without showing the HOW. As someone who has been living low-carb for several months, I know from my experience and that of many others that it can be tricky to make the transition to low-carb diet painless and sustainable.

As the title suggests, that is what this book aims to do, and it has done it very successfully for me. The two authors are expert researchers in the field of low-carb diet, with more than 50 years of research and practice experience between them. In this book, they have distilled their knowledge on why and how to implement a low-carb diet down to a level accessible to the general public, without losing all of the scientific rigor. It starts from the very beginning of the journey, addressing many popular misconceptions such as "carbs are critical", "ketones are toxic", etc. It then goes on to show sound scientific evidence of how a low-carb diet is the proverbial silver bullet to insulin resistance and low-grade inflammation, the root cause of most of the chronic health problems nowadays. For example, the authors recount a clinical case of a severe diabetic patient, who could stop all insulin injection within one week of a very low-carb diet.

Perhaps the most valuable part of the book, in my opinion, is near the end, where the authors offer ten tips from their experience on what to look out for when transitioning to a low-carb diet. Things such as how low is a low-carb diet; what to replace the carb with to provide you with enough energy; the two weeks of fatigue at the beginning of the transition, etc. It gave me, and it will give you the confidence to stick to the diet in the face of contrary advice from mainstream media and doctors, and opposition from family and friends. I wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise.

In summary, this is another must-read book if you are planning on embarking on changing your diet and living style, or if you just want to find out what the buzz about low-carb is all about.

Vegetarian Myth, The

5.0 out of 5 stars This book will break your heart, 1 April 2012
This review is from: Vegetarian Myth, The (Paperback)
Lierre was a vegan for 20 years. Her reasons for going vegan are the same as many other vegans: justice, compassion, and repulsion at factory farming practices. During this long period, despite the many damages that the vegan diet brought to her body, she pushed on through sheer will. However, in the end, she gave up because she learned that vegetarianism is exactly the opposite of what it claims to be. Morally, it kills far more animals and vegetables than any other forms of diets through monoculture practices that it requires. Politically, it is the most inefficient and unsustainable diet, requiring so much water and land resources and destroying them in the process, again through monoculture practices. Nutritionally, it is the most damaging to anyone following it for a long time, both physically and psychologically.

In this book, she recounts her journey of learning. It will not be an easy book to read if you are vegetarian because it challenges so many of the deeply held assumptions and beliefs. But if you can persist through it, it will break your heart. And it may save your life.

Personally, I would like to thank Lierre for her courage to speak up. I know it is very difficult to abandon beliefs that one has held for most of one's life. It is even much more difficult to tell the world about it. She is a true warrior for the Truth.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on diet and nutrition, 1 April 2012
In this book, Nora presented the very latest research on diet and nutrition and how it helps the body to recover from a life time of abuse under the standard recommended diet (low fat, high carb). She shows clearly how sugar in the body (converted from dietary carbohydrate) is so damaging and how limiting/eliminating the carb and replacing it with saturated fat can revert the damage. She also shows how some of the main ingredients of the standard diet (gluten, dairy and soy) are essentially poisons that are killing us slowly.

This is the book to read if you are suffering from chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia or feeling tired all the time. It is also the book to read if you seem to be healthy, and just want to improve your health a bit. I thought of myself as healthy. Well, I didn't know what being healthy could be until after I start to seriously follow the low carb, high saturated fat diet.

Although the book does an excellent job on answering WHY you should change your diet, it does not offer much information on HOW to do it. So it is important to read a few other books such as The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living: An Expert Guide to Making the Life-Saving Benefits of Carbohydrate Restriction Sustainable and Enjoyable, and search the web for experience from paleo dieters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deserving title, 27 Mar. 2012
This book deserves the title that it claims: The Ultimate Truth on 9/11. It is not because it offers the most accurate account of what happened on that fateful day. Research is still ongoing by many brave researchers and more details are being uncovered as time goes by. It is because it offers the big picture spanning thousands of years before. Laura has uncovered little clues from various branches of science: history, genetic research, psychology, etc. to put it together. It is a picture of psychopaths: how they came onto the world stage, how they manipulated events in history and history itself. Within that picture, 9/11 is just the final accumulating point.

Overall, this is an amazing piece of work. A must read for anyone who is serious in their wish to understand 9/11.
